As you all know, I was probably the one that got the Jenifer debate going back in November (sorry Bulldog if I'm stealing your thunder....maybe it was you, but I think it was me). Not once did I think he should replace Troy as starter. But, I definitely think he should be north of 10 minutes a game. That doesn't mean Troy is the one to give up the 10 minutes. I would love to see JJ and Troy together some.

What cracks me up about comments in here, is Jenifer basically gets just one single mistake in each game and he's garbage and not ready. If he has 1 turnover (and he's only had one in the last 9 games), he turns the ball over too much. He gets one shot, and by God, if it doesn't go in, he shoots too much, and he's a horrible shooter. And, if he doesn't do either of those two things wrong, someone will see three defensive things he did wrong. He's the most closely scrutinized recruit that I've ever seen. On the flip side, Troy, in his abundance of minutes, can do some things well and that's all we will hear about. However, if you watch him as intently as you do Jenifer, you'll notice a lot of mistakes, definitely defensively, and this year, a lot of offensive issues and definitely crunch time issues. It's a complete double standard. What everyone needs to do, is quit judging Jenifer based on your dislike of me and Bulldog, and judge him on his performance. Give him more than one missed shot, or one turnover before you call him not ready.

We've seen lots of Cronin recruits who are not ready, and Jenifer is not one of them. People keep saying that Caupain is the better shooter, but the stats don't say that. You can't keep flip-flopping back and forth from the eye-test to stats to argue whichever method agrees with your stance. This team's performance screams more time for Jenifer. If it's an attitude issue, Mick has never mentioned that, but that would be a reason to keep him locked on the bench. In the last 9-10 games, even Jenifer's assist to turnover rate has been way better than Caupains.

In summary, I can't speak for Bulldog, but I'm surely not ready to insert Jenifer into the starting lineup, just increase his minutes. But, please quit taking his few mistakes and blowing them out of proportion. He's definitely going to make more mistakes, as is every player. He has performed admirably as a young freshman.

Besides the cupcakes...what game did he have you thinking "wow that was an admirable performance". I don't get to watch every game her in CT, and I'm not saying he couldn't use a few more minutes, but I've yet to see him so much in his time on the court (as limited as it has been)

I really like what jenifer did against smu!

id say three point shooting, mid range shooting, pull up shooting, free throws, rebounding, and defense (his height makes him hard to shoot over for opposing point guards. Now i like jennifer but lets not act like troy is scrub. I still will argue troy is hands down our best player

As Mick said this week, Troy needs to work on his defense. His height is a non-factor, because his foot speed or lack of quickness allows him to easily get beat off the dribble. He only blocks about .3 shots per game, so his height isn't doing much for his defense. His shooting should definitely not be brought up when discussing his strengths.

Well, without going back and revisiting every game, that's an easy one to answer since it was the last game he played against Tulsa. He played outstanding!

McMurray is the leading scorer. He is shooting 32% on 3s...the rest of the team combined has made 32 3s at 22%.

Yea I wasn't able to watch that one. Like I said I'm not saying he doesn't need more minutes I just haven't witnessed the second coming like some other seem to think they have

Stats say jenifer probably in everything except rebounding. Shooting wise #10 is worst on team at moment. Also I haven't seen troy stop no guard this year.

Dude Caupain is and always will be the pg, jenifer is not going to play till a jr get over it and stop talking about this bs every page it get old as hell....,.
kj still getting starter minutes? #10 weakest guard on team I'll take kj over him

I'm saying he needs to start until he shits the bed like #10. Jenifer at 5'6 also might be best finisher in paint. I'm not moving #10 to bench YET. He's no longer even my starting 2 guard.

Jenifer
Cobb
#10
Evans(can't even start Moore in my dreams)
Clark

If we were claiming a "second coming", then the argument would be for him to start. Most are just asking for maybe 10 minutes a game. There doesn't need to be a "second coming" to earn 10 minutes. We've been letting guys play over 20 minutes who have played horribly. Jenifer has rarely played horribly. He has true point guard skills. Our inside players have not played well and this is maybe our only player who can find them with passes that puts them in a spot to have success. We need more of that. And, it appears Troy can use some blows as well.

If jenifer would of played we lose by 10, I'll take the 3 point loss any day.....
I just know he wouldn't choked and passed into double team. He's played bigger aau games than #10 has played college games. Pretty sure his aau summer circuit team a give us run for money
