Yeah it's almost like planting the seed to make excuses down the road.

It must run in the family because he and his brother are two of the biggest whiners ever. Mick's built a culture of "little man" everyone's out to get us. It's funny when Cal does it, it's annoying as hell when Micky does.

Haha can you believe the Kentucky fans had the nerve to chant "GPA" at Ben Simmons. That's rich.

I wonder if Mick really believes that everyone is out to get us? It's almost like he doesn't see how irrelevant UC basketball has become under his watch. The truth is that no one really takes us seriously anymore. It would be one thing to make comments like he does if we dominated the AAC every year and consistently competed for high seeds and titles. When you finish 4th in the conference and end up just inside the bubble every year it plays as whining.

Yeah, I wish Cal would leave UK. It was always easy to hate them. But, I've always kind of liked Cal. He is very funny, plus Huggs always beat him. I know he cheats, but he does it so nicely, and in a self deprecating way....lol. Besides X, UK was always my most hated school. But now, that same level of hate has just shifted 100 miles to the north. I think I hate that school twice as much as I ever hated UK though. You can't be a Bearcat fan and root for OSU. The two don't go together at all.

I think I'll stay home to watch the game on Friday. Or I will go to Mio's in Clifton. With Xavier being on basically the same time as us, I don't even want to be around anyone of their kind. :)

I also think its funny there are a few people complaining about us playing a good St. Joe's and then a #1 seed secondly. Besides the distance, I think we got a great draw. There are better seeds with much more difficult match ups in their opening rounds.

If you to Mio's I'll buy you a cold one.

I think we got a break going out West.

Nobody's complaining about that. Yes, this may be the best scenario for a 9 seed of the four possible scenarios. The complaint is that we are a 9 seed in a season where we have a veteran team that was an 8 seed last year with the same roster (minus some good freshmen) and a deeper roster this year. Improvement was expected, and a given.....yet we went in the opposite direction. We all want to see deep runs and without higher seeds, and/or an offense, it's virtually impossible.

some people have a motive regardless. I'm going to enjoy the games. My favorite time of the year.

I think we match up well with St. Joe's. Need to have a good shooting game from the guards. Really think they will pack the lane against us. My other concern is our overall health.

What? Not going to fly out on $800 last minute tickets? You call yourself a bearcat fan? SMH

A serious question. Did you prefer dominating conference USA and being ousted in the second round as a top 3 seed year after year after year? Obviously I'm not from the Cincinnati area but here in CT and the east coast area, Cincinnati basketball in the NCAA tourney has been viewed as a joke for decades….long before mick took over. Not that I'm ok with it, but just a little out of towner perspective.

Do me a favor LT, let us have some fun this week and when the season is over you can have at it again!

Again, seems like we had that opportunity in the past without much success..

I thought you were going to ask me a serious question?? Because during the time you speak of UC went to 16 straight NCAA's, which included 1 final 4, 2 elite 8's and a sweet 16. Saying getting bounced in the second round isn't a serious statement, we also got bounced plenty in the first round.

To answer your joke of a question, the answer is yes. I much preferred being ranked as a top 10 team in the country, winning conference titles, bringing in top ranked recruits, having multiple all americans, and making the occasional run in March.

The biggest knock on our program back then was we got bounced in the NCAA's early. We EXPECTED the NCAA's, not making the Sweet 16 every year was a disappointment. Under this regime we're happy just to be in the dance.

PS - It's pretty funny how the Mick supporters are always the first one's to bring up the Huggins era. Move on man........it was a long time ago and he isn't coming back. He was and still is 20X the coach Mick Cronin is. Trying to take a big dump on his legacy isn't going to make Mick look any better, it's just going to make you look stupid.

Did you read the part that said "decades"? Decade=10 years, the "s" on the end of the word decade implies more than one…so lets go with 2, which equals 20 years. You following? So since the 96 tournament (elite 8) we have been to 2 sweet 16's ( 1 with huggs and 1 with mick) and have been knocked out in second round 9 times…which makes my statement of being knocked out in the second round very serious. Refer to your comment in bold above and it seems like you were disappointed pretty consistently well before Mick got here. And please, as far as your "it's pretty funny how the Mick supporters are always the first one's to bring up the Huggins era. Move on man", you're preaching to the wrong side cuz thats exactly what the mick haters need to digest.

Give it a rest man......I was assuming you were talking about the Huggins era, which I'm pretty sure is exactly what you were doing. Here's an idea, lot's keep our posts on topic. What are your thoughts on the St. Joe's game and our prospects to make the Sweet 16 this season??
