Cronin would throw out a goon squad when the intensity wasn’t there. We played half the last 3 games with goon squad. Cronin knew it would work in the end and Brannen does too. If a player decides to transfer rather than suck it up...then we don’t want that player...trust me

Mason played alright. It’s almost like we shouldn’t judge these guys before we even see them play

No one said he couldn’t be ‘alright’ (as in make free throws and get the occasional bucket) . But I mean, we took a package deal to land his more talented brother who just abandoned his brother and the team. If I had to guess, mason has a much higher floor then his brother but a much lower ceiling. He’s never gonna be our best player.

If we don’t get mason, maybe we get Tate and DJD.

Hell, there is another low ranked player who plays in this city who if we didn’t sign mason, would be on this team right now and would be the scorer we need.


I’d take Adam Kunkel all day over mason.

I’d rather leave scholarship spots open for lower ranked players who’ve proven they can play at the D1 level and choose to move up.

I don’t think ever I’ve ever seen 2 players go from solid contributors in one season to straight up not good at all the very next season.

Maw and Vogt are those guys.

What in the world happened. If Vogt was a 79 rating in nba2k last year, this year he is a 41.

Maw went from 75 to 55

This didn’t age well. It only took a few more minutes. Once again you can’t judge progress or regression on a small sample. Each of these players can get better or worse but it’s probably logical to wait for the season to just play out and then make final judgements.

John better learn his lesson next year and schedule at least 3 soft games to start the year. His teams do get better as most teams do but you cant try and rally back to save your season every year. We expect to win quicker.


That said good win. UCF is another slump buster before we play Houston. They suck so I expect to win at home. We do that and then give Houston at least some competition and you can feel good we at least made progress.

But make no mistake, any finish worse than 3 in what amounts to an awful AAC is disappointing.

When you’re recruiting, you can’t wait around and see who might be transferring . He’s doing that with 2021 and your all over him for not having any recruits. You can’t have it both ways. Which is it?

Mason has played 3-4 games and looks good. You don’t think he can be a good player in 3 years? I’m not saying the guy will be great, just not “a throw in” like you suggested
