The Wes Miller Era

Help Support BearcatTalk:

Why Tari may stay
-Built a strong brotherhood with the returning players (Mikey, Mason, MAW, JD)
-Wants to build on his legacy as a Bearcat
-Believes in Coach Miller and his ability to aid his development
-Enjoys UC/Cincinnati

Why Tari may leave
-Did not enjoy his time in Clifton and wants a change
---Specifically may want to play closer to home
-Wants to play in a more high profile conference
-Wants to play in a program more certain to make the NCAA tournament next season
-Did not connect with Coach Miller during their visit

I may be way off here but I always kind of got the vibe that Tari and Harvey always thought they were bigger than UC. I would love to have Tari back but I think its unlikely at this point.

Being honest then being from other side of Mississippi River I highly doubt they had ever heard of Cincinnati. Take Momster through west end and west side she’ll be ok

I got that impression too, and I hope for the sake of the program's future I am wrong.

I give us 40/60 odds of getting Tari back.

If that is the case, what kind of bulllsnit did Brannen feed them to get them to come here?

To me it just seemed they weren't completely invested. Wes is going to need two feet in. Gotta bring it every day. Does Eason want to get better as a player or be able to score some points as a home town hero. A coach that demands hard work is how you get better.

I don't know if Tari is a both feet in guy but we will find out.

Well for Harvey, no one wanted him because of the legal trouble he was in, and he had to reclassify multiple times, he kind of just landed in our lap and we had to do a lot of administrative work to get him here. He held multiple big offers before his legal troubles. As for Tari, I know he wanted to go to Washington but they didn't offer him literally until he verbally committed to UC. It came down to UC and USC.

Tari to Lsu. Time to move on.

Woof. That one hurts. They need bodies, but Eason was by far the guy with the highest ceiling among the players who transferred out. Really need a lot of frontcourt players.

Unless he kills it in the portal, I would be shocked if this team plays much above .500 next year. The current roster has essentially one guy who was an above-average player last year, and maybe 2 who are young enough that they might make big leaps forward, but one of those (Saunders) was probably the least effective player on the roster last year among the guys who made it to the end of the season (Rap was clearly the least effective player overall).

Scorers and rim protectors needed in a big way. If possible, someone who can run the point and occasionally make a jump shot would be nice, too.

I felt like tari was out the door halfway through the season. I wanted him back but we move on.

Cj Fredricks would be a great get. If we get him, it would help

Go all out on Tre Mitchell and Emanuel Miller. They can both play 40 mpg here. I hope Abdulsalam is at least thinking about following Wes.
