Really want X & SMU in top 25....either Purdue of Northwestern will drop out next week (they play each other) Creighton is on the road at Butler - if X can win 2 (big if - Seton Hall & Creighton) Creighton will be out & X is back in. SMU has E. Carolina at home & Tulsa away. Win those & they crack top 25.

The more teams we beat that are ranked, the better, as far as I'm concerned....don't think Iowa State has the ability to get there with their next 2 - WV & Kansas

I didn't call you out. I said the Reddit poll was "pretty accurate". Yes technically you were right, but you made it seem as if 7 was a few spots too high.

I mean personally I agree and I put them at 10.. and think they are just a bit over rated at 7 or 8 at the moment.

That's cool. I think we both both did pretty good on our polls. I had first 7 Spots right. You hit UC right on the money at #14 good job.

So Kentucky loses 2 games and goes from #4 to #6 in the USA Today. Okay I will use that logic to assume they will drop 1 spot for each loss. So if they lose 10 straight games which would be awesome they would be 17-14 and ranked #16 in the USA Today poll.

"Course, with Sumner out, X may not even make the tourney let alone sniff the top 25 again

Kentucky getting destroyed by Florida 71-52
WVU losing
Virginia losing
Baylor losing twice this week
Arizona got destroyed
UCLA plays tonight
Wisconsin & UNC tomorrow

Bearcats are headed for Top Ten come Monday!

I'm gonna be honest. I have no idea what is gonna happen in the top ten this week. All I know is I love all these those these teams above us are racking up. We keep winning eventually they're gonna have to let us in. This SMU game is gonna have a huge impact on what happens in the next couple weeks. Feeling like UK a few years ago where a loss doesn't sound so bad after a long streak, idk why but going into the tourney on a 25 game win streak (if we won out) just makes me nervous. But then again the way it's going, winning out guarantees a 2 seed and holy **** Maybe more... I love this team and this season, I'm always positive but this has been so refreshing. I really think cats have one chance to lose the rest or the year and that's either at SMU or against SMU in the tourney if it gets to that point. 31-3 is a damn good season. So proud of these guys and have complete faith at this point that the worst we end up is a game less than that.

AP Top 25 for Monday............

1)Gonzaga
2)Villanova
3)Louisville
4)Kansas
5)UCLA
6)Oregon
7) Wisconsin ?
8) North Carolina ?

After #8 assuming wins from Wisconsin & UCLA it's all losers to pick from or the Cincinnati Bearcats. Don't see how we don't crack top ten. Iowa St win at Kansas is huge for us. This will give some pollsters the assurance to move us up in the poll. Personally I just want the Bearcats ahead of the Wildcats.
It will be interesting...............

I'm new on here and just wanna bring more insight to all the great UC fans on here. I am always looking for previews of how the AP voters think. Seth Davies, only voted UC at 13th. Does he not follow college basketball. At least he did add SMU and Xavier on his top 25.

It will be interesting to see what the voters do with UC, FSU, UK, WV, and VA. I could see FSU moving in front of us with their 2 convincing wins. I could also see the other teams not dropping far enough for us to pass. Leaving us somewhere between 15 and 11. Definitely not cracking any top 10. We dropped in Kenpom with our two wins. SMU is now 5 spots clear of us.

I'm happy with the wins...just not expecting a huge jump. It's all relative.

The teams we want to pass are all top 6 in Kenpom. FSU is 8 spots ahead of us. If the voters are following metrics...we could stay right where we are. I wouldn't be disappointed either. If we want to move we need to beat SMU or convince the voters by crushing other teams. It's kinda sad that we were crushing UConn and put in the subs only to let them lose 10 points of our lead for us right away.

I should say again...I will be happy with wins from here on out...but the voters want to be convinced. We only have one more statement game left and a lot of "you should have won" type games.

honestly more important then us i think will be getting smu in the top 25 in the ap this week for our matchup. if they stay right outside that games perspective looks way less. I get it the aac is having a down year but the way uc and smu have been treated by voters is a disgrace.

one thing we have been overlooking thats even more important is ncaa revealing their top 16 teams on feb 11. i would hope if we go 2-0 this week that we are a top 4 seed. tbh tho i think its a joke the ncaa is even doing that to begin with

The SMU game is Sunday the 12th. The show on Saturday will only have the UCF game from Wednesday factored in.

Agree about FSU possibly jumping us. I do think ISU beating Kansas does help us. KenPom is crazy with SMU moving 5 above us. Even if we beat them again they will be ahead of us it's ridiculous. Game Sunday is huge for our seeding.

SMU should be in this week - possibly X as well, although I think Wichita jumps them...or USC. Iowa St. will pass a bunch of teams in the also ran list

Yeah people loved these advanced metrics. We don't sleep our foot on the gas like some of these other teams. Point margins against crappy teams seems to play a huge factor. Guess if we were UNC and just blasted terrible teams by 50 we'd go way up.
