Torian Graham 2014 JUCO SG

I guess I still can't read twitter.

Maybe it's just my perception, but I think JUCO guards tend to have a quicker impact that JUCO bigs.

We all know the list of JUCO bigs that took time to develop, or in some cases, never developed.

But off the top of my head, Jihad Muhammad, Tony Bobbitt, Van Exel even, all turned out to be contributing players

Bobbitt was temporarily kicked off the team his first year. Van Exel is not an apt comparison. JUCO 20+ years ago is significantly different than it is now. All non-qualifiers went to JUCO then. Now most all go to prep school in order to only delay their career 1 year and still have 4 years of eligibility. The level of talent in the 90s in JUCO is twenty fold compared to what it is now.

got a prediction Jeff?

Yes, but wont give it right now. Trying to sort out the white noise. However, as I said, and Jack agrees, we will know before the official signing date. Things are ever shifting right now but I have heard Torian has been a constant.

Depending on Kentucky's run in the NCAA tournament, the Harrison twins could end up declaring for the draft (I've heard James Young is almost assuredly entering the NBA draft either way). If they do, it does give Graham a chance to come in and compete with Ullis & Booker for a starting back court spot. That could be enticing to him but hopefully he would rather go with the program that has prioritized him!!

I wonder how often 247 updates their stuff. I know their "crystal ball" stuff isn't always all that accurate, but all 10 people there have had him going to Mizzou since January. Wonder if that'll change soon.

They seem to really piggy-back each other on predictions. Not that they're wrong, but its something i've noticed.

Their crystal ball hasn't been updated since late Jan. I dont think. Guys I'm not trying to be cryptic here. There's just a lot of swirling right now. That's why I say I have an opinion but circumstances could sway what happens so rather than say something I'd rather hold my cards right now. Imo things will clear some over the next week. For what it's worth I look for the Harrisons to be in Wildcat uniforms next season.

When somebody makes an official visit, a lot of the "experts" will then crystal ball them. In most cases it is just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks. They always can change their pick later, and yes they do piggy back. A case in point was the Quadri Moore decision. Most had Quadri to UC for a long time, then right at the end Chad Brendel crystal balled him to Seton Hall. Some of the others saw that, thought Chad must have something, and changed their prediction at the last minute. Then Quadri chose us and made some of them look foolish.

Graham has said early that his dream school was UK but recently I read a interview where he said he was mad at UK for making him a second option and he liked UC because we made him a priority so who knows.

Speaking of which, is Chad still banned? Haven't seen him post anything recently....

Let me go ahead and say this. I believe based on what I've heard he is a UC lean. Cannot 100% confirm this but I have been told UC has one commit and is closing in on the second where several options are possible. Take it for what it's worth. My info has been pretty reliable, I've missed some and when I'm guessing I tell you. Not applying the commit to Graham. I was told all this is being held tightly to the vest. Just basing my opinion on the totallity of what I was told.

At this point, it's just great that we are involved in all these transfers and a few JUCO's. In the past we wouldn't have had a shot at some of these. Hopefully we get one of the immediate transfers and someone like Graham. Would love to get involved with the kid from WVU, but that seems like a pipe dream.

I would agree with Jeff but after what happened with the Eric Bledsoe situation I will not say 100% Graham will be a bearcat. I will also caution folks that think the people currently on scholarship are ALL safe. If Mick can add 3 he will and that will leave an odd man out and I myself know who that would be IF it were to happen like that.

I'd guess guyn.

Strickland / Guyn

There are rumors about a third scholarship possibly being open but let me caution everyone these are rumors at this point and this stuff swirls every spring.

I cant see him giving up on strickland before even seeing him. Cronin wasnt even aloud to watch him practice this year. Guyn could be interesting though. Does he graduate this spring or summer?

I said Strickland for the fact that he sat out a year and its going to take a lot to catch up and learn D1 basketball is he really worth all that when you can get a proven scorer.

Dont worry - you are reading almost all his posts here, just repackaged a couple hours later by others claiming it is their own privately sourced information.

But don't quote me on that, yet - still a lot "swirling"

Just be patient guys. No more speculating from me. Passed on what I was told by someone not in the inner circle but associated with someone who is. May pan out and it may not. I don't claim to be a recruiting guru nor do I have the time I used to have to apply to it when we've scooped some pay sites. What I told you was second hand and is subject to interpretation from the person who told me. Basically said there is guy that has told the staff he wants to be a Bearcat but that they are looking at all present and developing options before pulling the trigger. I'm not trying to insinuate it's Graham, I don't know. If people want to criticize and say I'm being vague that's ok. He was told there is a a recruit that has said, "I want to be a Cincinnati Bearcat." People keep asking so I passed it on.
