Should be a good one. I think the Cats will win it but UConn is always dangerous in March. Interested to see the crowd, I doubt Memphis fans will stick around tomorrow night.

I think it will be good too. If we win should prepare us for the final.

Shots fired??

@AmoreCourant: Shabazz Napier on Sean Kilpatrick "he cares so much about the MVP ... He can have it. I'm not interested in individual accolades" #uconnmen

Napier is a baby, when uconn lost at Cincy he was blaming the refs for them losing the fame in the post game interview. No class from that kid

That's hilarious considering he shot 5/19 from the floor.

I hope the entire team sees his comments and make his night a living hell.

They guys hopefully remain calm and take care of the ball. TO's cost us the last game against both UCONN and Louisville revenge and trash talk is all for the fans. Just win the game and advance.the rest takes care of itself.

Wow. That is pretty blunt. Like mdchick said, he was running his mouth about the refs in his poor showing @ UC. Just shows what kind of person his he.

That #2 seed looks better and better right now. Oh well. I hope UC has revenge on their minds bc they should want to redeem themselves from last time they played UConn. If we want to win we have to cut down on turnovers. Simple as that.

UC played the last UConn game with the same attitude they played with last night. If they play that way again tonight they will lose. However, I don't think they will. UC 68-62.

P.S.
SK NOT making comments about another player like that is exactly why he was respected enough by the coaches to be Sportsman of The Year. Class Act.

Completely agree. I can't wait for his excuses after tonight once we beat them. The #1 thing I am dreading about watching this game is...having to watch Napier fake a foul every other dribble he takes. I can not stand it. One of the most obnoxious players to watch.

Just a reminder about how big a class act SK is. I personally feel very lucky to have him been a part of this program. Now let's go wipe the floor with that ungrateful POS

Napier "he cares so much about the MVP ... He can have it. I'm not interested in individual accolades"

Sean Kilpatrick "The Player of the Year award is in great hands with him," said Kilpatrick. "He's a great player."

You decide...

I dont tweet but I hope someone on this board who does use twitter puts SK's quote all over twitter, especially Napier's.

I'm fired up for this. I feel UC gave one away at UConn by not being mentally present. The Huskies only scored 31 non fast break points. They will play the pick line defense and UC will need to:

1) Hit outside shots - they shot miserably in the the game at UConn. Hoping SK, Troy, and Sanders can step up. It'd also be nice if KJ continues to stroke like he has been.

2) Get the ball into the post - I think JJ and TRub can use their quickness to score if they play smart and aggressive.

3) Finish off of offensive rebounding - UC missed a bunch of shots at the basket last game against UConn

4) Limit turnovers - Always key to this team. It cannot give away opportunities on the offensive side and they can't set up their defense when the other team get's easy transition buckets.

5) Defend the perimeter and be on the board defensively.

If they do these things and JJ stays on the floor UC wins this game.

Jeff its imparative someone else steps up and provides some scoring. If you remember the last UCONN game they double JJ hard everytime he caught the ball in the paint. He has to find the open man when doubled and the other players need to make theirselves available when he is doubled. SK was chased the whole game. It was a box and one with the two low block defenders doubling JJ everytime he caught the ball. Rubles needs to get to the rim along with ST. As always we can't give away the basketball especially unforced which the last game turned into uncontested points.

Lot's of open misses in that game Waite.

This is one game we need to come out and punch em right in the mouth early with Naiper's comments and how we should have won the last game getting a good start is huge.

JJ has to stay out foul trouble, Rubles and ST have to attack and get 7-12 a piece. TC, KJ, JL got to get some nu,bers out of them as well, im just not confident with Sanders running around ad GG at the point in critical situations.

CATS-61

HUSKIES-58

Don't get me wrong, I can't stand Napier and I think he is a whiny punk. However, in this case, I don't really have a problem with what he said. He was asked what he thought about the situation and said he didn't care about individual accolades and was playing for his team. Yeah Sean would have handled it better; but as far as Shabazz Napier goes, I don't have an issue with this.
