What the hell is that??

Yesterdays result, win or loss, will have no bearing on how far this team will go in the tourney. It could affect seeding, though, and lead to a difficult matchup in the round of 16. UConn, when Brimah is on the court, is a sweet 16 team. This was not a bad loss, and UC has not had a bad loss this season. They have only lost to NCAA teams. The Bearcats style of play is conducive to a long tourney run, and their offense will not look as putrid as it has in conference play. Conference games are always dogfights, as the teams know each other very well. So long droughts are more apt to occur in conference play than would in the NCCA tourney. Their defense is a constant, and will be there every game. I am more concerned about the 1st game, as this team plays to the level of its competition. The one take away from yesterdays game is how they responded in the last 3 minutes. When they needed to score, they did on every possession save the missed layup at the end. This should give the team some confidence that in end game situations they can come through. Still disappointed about last night, but none of us will remember this in a week or 2.

Yes great post, we will not be likely playing teams in the tourny for the third time. Uc the first time they play teams did very well, beat uconn, u of l, smu but lost to them the second time around. I still predict a long run

Actually, yesterday's result could have a direct result on how far they advance in the NCAA tourney (since it undoubtedly affected their seeding).

Actually

Everyone needs to calm down we lost by two to a ranked team, we are still projected this morning a 3 seed in Palm and a 4 seed in lunardi. After every loss everyone acts like we a re the worst team ever then we win and everyone acts like we are the greatest. So what we lost by 2!! It was the conference tournament, yes I wanted to win but now we can get some rest and fuel for the NCAA we will be ready

It's hard to calm down at this point, as there is obviously a definite reason for concern. The offensive bipolar tendencies that were displayed throughout the season have appeared to shift heavily to the depressed side (Memphis game aside). Pretty hard to remain optimistic when you watch garbage like that in back to back games. That said, nothing would surprise with this team.

Actually, I mentioned this in my second sentence, actually. If you actually read my post, you would have actually seen that. And actually, this was not a bad loss, and actually will not have a big effect on seeding. The gist of my post was actually based on whether UC's style of play will determine a long run in the tourney. Actually.

How was he able to tweet in the middle of the second half. Do the players have their cell phones with them during the game?

Actually, I found your writeup a bit confusing at the beginning actually. Actually, I found it a bit contradicting actually. Actually I agree with the rest of your post.

Actually it did not affect our seeding at all as none of the bracketologist ,Palm or lunardi, moved us down

I have no idea unless it was halftime or someone took his phone? It has since been deleted but it was really disheartening.

It's nothing, it is not on his twitter anymore. Someone probably hacked it and tweeted that. One he would never say that and two it would be impossible as no college players have phones on them durning game.

Actually, Palm and Lunardi are not soley responsible for the selection process. For you to make a definitive statement that our seeding has not been affected at all is ignorant. We all know that UC typically gets screwed in some way, shape, or form come selection Sunday. My guess is that the loss last night just bumped us down to a 5 seed.

Honestly, for you to make a guess that last night's loss bumped them down to a 5 is ignorant. The reason that Palm and Lunardi have not moved UC down is that they are not looking at seeding in a vacuum. Other teams also lost in their conference tourneys, affecting their seeds. When you look at the totality of the college basketball landscape, a loss to UConn by 2 did nothing to change UC's seed line. I would trust what Palm and Lunardi think much more that your 'guess'.

It's not just the loss last night......it's the way they narrowly escaped UCF and the fact that they are so limited on offense (as is pointed out by every analyst during every game). I hope I'm wrong, but my gut tells me otherwise. By the way, you don't have to be a fucking dick when you respond.

Caupain and Thomas were abysmal and I mean abysmal on defense tonight. Thomas lost Giffey three times off the ball that turned into a nine points. Caupain blew multiple assignments on Boatright. As for Guyn he is elite on defense and a complete non factor on offense. So much frustration right now. Also thought SK was much too passive tonight.
I feel like he's understands that the other guys have to score so he was letting them pick up the responsibility

Whenever you hear interviews with former committee members they always say don't overreact to losses in the conference tournament, especially to other tournament bound teams.
