Honestly if Gabe is for sure gone then I want mason to leave to. We would have never offered mason by himself. We offered as a package deal and the best part of the package just left.

When did we start writing guys off after a handful of games? That seems to be a recent thing. I get the team sucks but the guy has more experienced wings in front of him. I never thought he would get a ton of minutes. Doesn’t mean either of them can’t be good players.
I agree, that's why I am not one of the people who crucify JB after every loss, UK is 1-6 right now. Its hard to build a program in regular times, and now its even worse. Hindsight is always 20/20 so its easy for all of us to sit on here and say how different things should be when the same people were praising JB when he got this recruiting class and got Rap and DJ as transfers. I agree JB has made some boneheaded decisions but I don't think you can judge the future of this program with him at the helm after this particular season.
To me CJB comes off as cold. I could be wrong but that’s just the vibe I get. That he has a hard time building trust and friendships with certain players.
Running plays is just a part of the job. The other part is relationships. And with all the player movement, the battle with Jarron etc. it seems that he hasn’t figured out that side of the game yet at cincinnati.
He may have also made a jump into the wrong kind of league. This is a physical and tough league. The horizon not so much. If you want players to run through a brick wall for you, then you gotta build relationships
Comparing us to UK is silly though. Calipari has a national championship and countless sweet 16’s.. they are a program that will absolutely be fine abd have a proven coach.

Mason will be better than Gabe dude. Just because of a ranking this is how you base everything? They are being rated at 16-17-18 years old. That doesnt take into account work ethic, heart, or just becoming a man. Im not sold on gabe. dudes soft

This is the worst 3 point shooting Bearcats team in the Kenpom era and Bearcats aren’t known for shooting. If his defense was so bad that he couldn’t help you even a little bit on what amounts to a god awful bottom of the league team, then it’s a problem.
As for mason. I never wanted him. He’s a NKU level player by almost every measure and we signed him.

I can 100% assure that if Uc was 5-2 right now with a top 30 class signed for 2021 I’d have zero gripes outside of normal Game by game critiques.
