2 a game? In 35min!!!!

He's averaging almost 2 more assists and one less turnover per 40 minutes than last year. That is huge! And before you tell us about the 5 second change in clock...the math isn't going to account for it.

I'm not stat guy but I'm HUGE betting guy. I'll bet you can factor in our pace of play this compared to last 5yrs and see that'll be why EVERYBODY from previous year offensive stats look better

We blow smu out if Clark/Ellis come to play and we simply keep our hands up and active on defense. We have the better talent

you questioning my claims is not a big concern of mine. LMAO!!!! Nor is your doubting my evaluation of Caupain as a good defender. I think you should stick to cheer leading. Your comments tell me you couldn't lead a pack of pee ants to water.

Your continual little insults are as juvenile as your coaching experience in the pee wee leagues.

If Cobb is aggressive and looks to score we will win. If he plays passive in hopes that someone else steps up to save the day, we will lose. We need to run the offense through him, he's the biggest weapon we have on offense until Evans fully develops.

it will certainly be helpful to have the offense clicking but I'll point out that in both wins last year we held them to 50 and 54 points. If we don't guard we won't win regardless what Cobb does.

First off I would like to apologize for being part of derailing this thread. Jacob it may be helpful that in the future if people want to debate. Mick's substitution patterns or who needs playing time it have its own thread. That way people wanting to discuss upcoming games can do so. This seems like a very hot topic to some. The whole Jenifer needs more playing time versus TC is fatigued is really a small issue as to what has hindered the effectiveness of this team. Guys in years past when we held opponents under 60 points a game we rarely ever lost. When we scored 60 we rarely lost. Now with 5 seconds less to guard and us scoring 70 a game with everyone back from last years team except Sanders we have lost 4 games. 3 on our floor. While it would be nice to have a player who we could hand the ball to at the end of games and say go win it, we are not in that position. We need all 5 guys playing well and most of all we need to get back to our old identity. Guarding and rebounding. That added with our new offensive efficiency should lead us to the season we all expected. Who plays and when is fun to debate but in the end it is coaches decision. He has all the pertinent information and understands who is executing his game plan and the things that were coached in practice. All things out of our sight. We all have our preferences as to who plays and what style we like. But we are all Cat fans and the thing that should be most important is a win.

Second. For the Cats to come out successful in the game the top of my wish list would be to rebound and limit second chance points and guard. Our two wins last year we held them to 50 and 54 points. Both games we played tremendous defense. We did a very good job limiting the effectiveness of Moore. Dribble penetration and not closing out on shooters has killed us this year. Even during our run of cupcakes if you go back and read the threads it was apparent that we were giving up way to many second chance points and open looks. Our rebounding was mentioned as a troubled spot in almost every thread. Our performance against Tulsa was a step in right direction. I just hope we can be as aggressive defensively this game and cut down on our fouls. If we simply try to out score this team we will lose. I hope the team has finally realized that and can build some momentum off the Tulsa game.

Well I think we are averaging around 8 more possessions per game over last year. So it's not enough to account for the increased assists nor does it explain why his turnovers aren't up. Extra possessions don't explain Cobbs numbers very well.

Bottom line is some players have gotten better, some have stayed about the same, and I think one has actually gotten worse.
