Lots of upsets this weekend. Let's not contribute to that trend. Cats take it 72- 60 in front of 12,000 fans.

Extreme nitpicking here, but Cincinnati has not been dominating lesser conference opponents the way they should. Louisville and UConn have completely rolled over some of the bottom feeders, but we always seem to let them hang around or make 2nd-half comebacks.

I want to see Cincinnati take the lead early, keep their foot on the gas, and win by 20+.

Cincinnati 76, USF 52

South Florida is a bad match up from a size perspective because they have so many big bodies on the front line. I think Cincinnati will be able to turn them over much better than last game. Unless they shoot above average from the perimeter (they are an awful shooting team), Cincinnati should win comfortably.

Halftime:
UC 31
SF 25

Final:
UC 69
SF 54

Predicting a big rebound game for Caupain. 13 points, 6 assists.

This will be a good game to build a lead and then rest the starters and give the bench a chance to get some experience. Then, if needed, the starters can come back and ice it, but I don't think that will be necessary.

This is a trap game following a big win. I think that we will come out firing on all cylinders and it won't matter, however: UC 74-56

JJ5 I agree. They're big, Collins is back, and UC is coming off an emotionally draining win over a big rival on the road.

Watch out for Chris Perry today, he had 18 points and 8 boards in USF's last game, a win over a good SMU team.

I can't disagree with you that we aren't winning by huge margins. However, we are a different team than UL and UCONN and our focus is less on speeding up the game and more on slowing it down. If the Bearcats control the speed of the game we are VERY VERY good.

We have been getting better on offense but we have to play our game. Our confindence as a team is growing with every game...and mine is growing right along with them. I think the entire team now has the type of confidence we need to do big things. We have three seniors that aren't going to back down in a dog fight...which means the rest of the team doesn't have to feel intimidated either. These seniors are kind of like body guards (or big brothers) in that sense...if I have three players like that standing by me I can be more confident on the court.

It seems like Thomas is gaining that confidence. Caupain has confidence but after that UL game I think he learned a valuable lesson which will affect his play from here on out. He was getting a little ahead of himself in that game. GG and JS are growing with confidence as well.

Shaq Thomas looks so comfortable out there, he's a completely different player right now, love this team right now.

So much for the fast start. We really need to stop letting inferior teams hang around. That's how you end up getting bounced by a lower seed in the first weekend of the tournament.

ya I gotta question the line-ups so far, really why has Thomas only play like 5 mins?

Have taken too many bad shots today in the half court. Rubles and Big Dave shooting jumpers is simply wasting possessions. They add up by the end of the game. Have to be stubborn and not settle.

I think Mick is out-thinking himself. He's trying to match up with USF's size by leaving 2 of our 3 bigs on the floor at all times, but Shaq was playing so well early... Makes no sense to sit him for so long.
