USF: the battle for.... I have no idea. Hopefully something

You definitely could make the argument with tre’s stats of late, but gary did every single little thing you could possibly do, you can’t replace a gary Clark

imagine gary in this system.

hell imagine that 2018 team with brannen. that would have been a fun team to watch.

I'm with Justin. They have different games, but I think it's fair to say Scott right now is at least as good as senior Gary Clark.

Clark was a better shot blocker, but Scott is a better perimeter defender. Clark was a better offensive rebounder, but Scott is better at rebounding.

Clark was a better shooter, but Scott is a better ball handler and passer. Recently Scott has taken a massive jump at scoring. He now has 4 20 point games this season, Clark had 2 20 point games as a senior.

Basically, they are both great players and I think we'd be happy to have either one of them.

Clark was better at everything. By a lot. Clark was a way better ball handler and passer and it’s not close. Tre’s numbers are comparable though. Gary didn’t have to score 20 a game as a senior.

Agree with the post about MAW & McNeal defense
Impacting the game. Didn’t let the ball get to where
USF was getting it first 30 min or so.
Overall pressure helped as USF woke up from their
dream state & started throwing it to UC or out of bounds.
Diarra did well in that stretch certainly as well.

Tre’s still not that skilled. He just hustles. He can’t really dribble. When he does it’s a straight line. He doesn’t have many moves. Just goes to show, you can be effective if you work hard and do the dirty work. Same with nate Hinton. They both just out work the other team.

Maw is going to be great defensively. He already holds his own against some of the leagues best. Fouls a lot but that’s part of being a freshmen. Defensively I think we’ll be fine. Kieth, Harvey, maw, and if diarra can stay on the floor, I’m not worried about defense next year.

I think Eason may have more skill than Tre. If he works as hard, he could be a great player. I’d show him take of Tre everyday.

Add Dou to the list of player who everyone thought sucked in year 1 and now has shown some promise.

He's only a Soph. 2 more years of Dou is good.

I think if Vogt is going to be NKU version of himself, then we need to start and play Dou.

Let Vogt matchup against the bench guys.

John Calipari always talks about the Tweak... DOU IS OUR TWEAK.

two more years of Dou is definitely good. But this year he has been widly inconsistent and flat out unplayable at times. Like I said earlier, he is good against undisciplined teams like USF. Vogt can be really good as well but struggles moreso against athletic bigs that can pull him out. But more than anything, Sorolla leaving has had a huge negative effect on Vogt and the team IMO. Vogt is simply worn out and really has to be careful about his fouls. With Sorolla at least he could play D and not have to worry about it. Hopefully Dou can have more than one good game in a row in order to give Vogt more rest in these last few games.

I thought Brannen didn’t develop anyone? Tre and Dou have taken huge steps forward under Brannen

This board is funny after they win. Lose to a good Houston team and UCats JoeRunner and Justin wouldn’t shut up about how bad Brannen was. Beat a team on the road by more than we were suppose to and 2 of the 3 go quiet

without jarron*

Or wouldn't you Expect some better defense after 28 games or so?

Wouldn't you expect Keith Williams to get better in this beautiful amazing system?

MAW looks useless today

WHO HAS IMPROVED IN THIS SYSTEM?

Who looks like they've been through wars?

NONE. where is the player the development?

Add Dou to the list of player who everyone thought sucked in year 1 and now has shown some promise.

Woops. Bad timing huh.

I think maybe Trevon Scott has improved too. Dunno.

Jarrons also been hurt, but that doesn’t seem to matter to the narrative. The player of the year and best player in the league. Don’t say anything about it, get blaming the system. It’s almost like they want a coach to fail so they can talk about how awesome mick is.

But Williams hasn’t improved in this system, puts up 30. Some guys continue to be jokes

Lmao, Williams was already on the trajectory of getting better every year. He hasn’t done this any other game, you really think Brannen is the reason he’s the player he is today. I’m guessing you meant you’re one of the jokes

justin wants him to fail so he can be right about hating the hire. he stated many times before brannen was hired that brannen sucked and he didn't want him.

You guys are so funny. Let’s just ignore that Tre and Keith already got better year by year. Diarra still has a long way to go, not exactly sure what huge strides he’s taken

Yeah that’s exactly it hahah

he's getting better looks. everybody is getting better looks.

keith lead the team in shots at the rim plus dunks with 148. 2nd was Brooks with 136. 3rd was Scott with 116.

This year Keith has 175, Vogt has 194, and Scott has 170.

Last year Keith took 91 midrange shots. Scott took 129.

This year Keith has taken 73 midrange shots. Scott has taken 89.

Last year as a team we took 726 midrange shots. This year as a team its 374.

Getting players to take better shots directly leads to them being better players.

there is literally nothing that could happen where you would give Brannen credit. Trevon's second half of the year has been head and shoulders better than anything he has ever done before.

I’d take gary Clark if I had to choose.

I’m Just saying I don’t remember Gary Clark ever having a run like this.

Tre can pass but in this offense, it’s not his job as much.

But defensively Gary rarely got beat. It’s just offensively he was sometimes a little too quiet.
