What happened to the depth that this team had???

At this point I simply dont understand what Sanders bring. He got 11 minutes yest and did absolutely nothing. Missed layups, inability to score, and turned it over twice.

Where has G been? Doghouse? Injury? He NEEDS to be able to score 6 points in his time.

Do you think Mick is regretting sitting Jerry out?? At least Jerry shows the ability to push the ball and score at times.

I read GG was sick and JD3 has an injury. I too would like to see JD back for the same reason. Sanders was 1 for 3, he and Thomas are too tentative offensively. Thomas is in year 1 and Sanders is getting his first real playing time. I posted on another thread that Mick needs to use the bench more. Seems like the deeper into the schedule we've got the less he uses it.

The problem with going to our bench.... you think our offense is bad now!? Without Cash, SK or Parker we would be lucky to score 20 points.

Its official I may have to be "that guy" at the game that yells RUN everytime they get a rebound. Get ready Ralphy, The Legends voice will echoo the shoe.

Legend if they don't play they will never be ready. You have to give them some minutes. You have to groom them for March.

while the depth is concerning, there are other more important issues with this team such as: inability to score in the half court, free throws, turnovers, and playing to their competition. this team has the talent to go to the elite 8, but right now they look like they would be hard pressed to win one game in the ncaa tourney.

If you play them when they are not ready to play, you are never going to get to March, unless you consider the NIT or CBI to be March.

Teams do it every year Ralph. You don't have to give them 15-20 minutes, but you have to get them on the floor. Cash, SK and JP can't be playing over 30 minutes a game like they have the past 6. three of those 6 all 3 were over 30, and 2 of the 3 the other three. They need to be between 28-30 if this team is going to play uptempo.

When teams get to the NCAA Tourney their bench gets real short. They play 7 guys at most.

And there always comes a time when foul trouble forces someone to come in and play. Mick's philosophy to me far more closely mirrors Huggs influence than Pitinos. It is very veteran reliant and offensively it is tough to watch. I still think people largely overlook the basketball iq aspect of this team. It is simply average.

Mick is good at winning with what he has. He has caught so many bad breaks on big time players, but he makes do with 3 star guys. Not many top 5 BE teams only have 1 5 star guy on the team. They will be fine, but it is frustrating to watch them sometimes. They are in every game, which is important. They just need to get hot at the right time of year again.

They aren't. With the exception of maybe Shaq and Rubles, micks recruiting has sucked for several years. I think next years class is good though. But you can't only get a good class every 4 years.

Yep, UC was the second choice of Kemba Walker, Marques Teague, Thabeet, Obpaka, etc. close but no cigar. If you build it they will come, eventually.

Huggs sorta had the same thing-lots of JUCOs the first 5 years, then came big time guys, like K-Mart, Fortson, DeMarr Johnson, etc.

Sick or not, Guyn had no business playing yesterday...he has the same "chuck-it" mentality of Rubles...wouldn't mind seeing Guyn and Gaines transfer and replace them with Jucos...especially a Juco PG next year...this team is in trouble after Cash leaves

Based off what game? I disagree completely..

I think G has the potential to be a outstanding defender... While I do feel like he needs to be able to hit down the open shot a little bit better, I dont think he takes that many bad shots... A few here and there but I dont see what your saying at all.

Probably the most accurate post in the history of this site.

I like his defensive capabilities. The problem is he isn't a very good shooter and he isn't a very good ball handler. The latter is a problem when you are expecting to be a PG.

i base it on the fact that he is a PG and he camps out behind the 3pt line on the wing, waiting for a shot instead of running the offense like he should...his ball-handling is horrible...everytime he dribbles, he does so with a hesitation/juke strategy like he is playing on the playground...i too love his intensity on defense...my worry is that if he gets more minutes, he is going to be in the same situation on Jackson...too much energy and too little/no discipline or control...he has attempted 32 shots on the year and 16 have been 3pt shots...i do not/have not seen what people see in the kid or why they think he needs more minutes...he is an asset on pressure defense, but we have not been running full court pressure defense enough to warrant more playing time in my opinion...
