Elijah Macon, PF, All-Ohio: CP3 doesn't have a lot of size and Macon looked to exploit that to his benefit. At 6-foot-8, he's a power forward with bounce, length and a strong upper body that allows him to fend off contact and finish. Young big guys tend to be up and down but his ups are getting more consistent. He's got some skill too and is dangerous driving the lane from the free throw line for baskets or hook passes to teammates.

Its good to see we are considered a leader. I know he had Tennessee in his top 3, but I'm sure the coaching change makes that a little murky, although he did say he will give the new coaching staff a chance.

There is a lot of speculation that West Virginia is the clear leader. Hopefully that isn't the case.

I really like our chances on landing this kid. Lets say he had commited to UC and then opened it up and the same two schools led for his services, everyone would say he would be going to WVU for sure. Him decommiting from WVU only helps our cause that much more. i would say right now he is a UC lean.

100% WVU lean right now. it'd be a huge shocker if we pulled him in.

From everything I've read, the chances are better that nobody but a prep school or JUCO lands him for next year.

Why would he decommit if he didnt have some type of change of heart. remember Chane, i just dont understand why he would change his mind and then change it right back.

felt he rushed into, wanted to give other schools a shot, and re affirmed it maybe?

just because chane didnt come back doesnt mean everyone else wont. you cant sit here and debate what a 17 year old kid who is being woo'ed this way and that way and has runners, agents, shoe reps, and college coaches is thinking. you wont come to any logical conclusion and just confuse yourself even more.

I would agree in most, but not all, cases.

agree. regardless, you cant analyze these decisions and say "i dont understand why he chose there." there are so many things going on behind the scenes with aau coaches, runners, money exchanging hands. its not just about "i feel most comfortable there" anymore.

I'd give WVU the edge at this point but he has a very good relationship with George Jackson as well. He's a tough read really and things seem to always be fluid with him.
