Some believe the 6'7" versatile player, who can defend multiple positions, will be a sf in college. His recruitment has been picking up some steam with high majors looking in on him. Decent shooter and rebounder who can play above the rim. The Bearcats were scheduled to check him out this week but it has been reschedule to next week.

A three-star combo forward out of Clayton (Ga.) High, 6-foot-7 junior Gary Clark had an impressive day on Saturday. He played with a high level of energy and intensity around the hoop and wasn't allowing anything easy around the rim. He blocked shots, snatched rebounds above the rim and ran the floor well for finishes at the hoop. His jumper doesn't appear to be that bad, but his handle looks like it will need some work if he wants to play on the wing full-time. According to Clark, the three schools that have been ramping up their interest the most are Clemson, VCU and Wake Forest.

Miami has offered CP3 2014 F Gary Clark @Gary11_Clark per @Justinbyerly

Gary Clark 6’7/200
Clayton HS (Clayton) – CP3
"Has a good build and a lot of skill. Explosive straight-line athlete. Can rebound and push the break. Has nice touch from the free throw line and rebounds the ball at a high level. Is good for at least one jaw-dropping dunk, going to the basket, per game."

Gary Clark is flat out putting in work for CP3. If they plan to advance, they need to utliize his skill set. He has adv inside right now.

I was reading an article about him and this is what he had to say about Cincy...

I love Cincinnati. When coach Davis came to the high school and watched me he would not offer me, as many times as he came he would not offer me, because he wanted me to get my motor higher. That really pushed me to work harder and get that high motor. Eventually the head coach came to watch me at EYBL and I was playing as hard as coach Davis had been trying to get me to play so they offered.

I love how they used (Justin) Jackson. He was kinda just like me, he wasn't necessarily the 5 but could guard the 5 and block shots around the rim. He was just kind of everywhere.

Amazing how much different recruits view our team and players compared to us die-hard rabid fans. That might be the most positive thing I've heard about JJ in a year on this board. Do like to hear the stuff about Davis pushing him to work harder and not offering and that motivating him. Seems better than spoon-feeding these recruits and telling them they're great. We might lose a few recruits this way by not stroking their egos but in return we'll get guys that work hard and will listen to coaches.
