Just watched the Duke/Yale game. Yale almost came back, but ran out of gas. I looked up Duke's incoming recruiting class… Five 5 star recruits coming in to an already loaded team. Must be nice.

Lol your own link shows that its 3 5 stars a 4 and a NR guy. Anyways yes thats impressive but theyre duke and hes coach K of course they recruit like that. At least Ingram will be gone, hopefully we catch they before the team has jelled and get a win

Johnson definitely improved his all-around game this year. Having said that, I think he will be an important bench piece next year...and hoping for much else isn't realistic. If he starts, we aren't going to get very far.

with 3 scholly's left. Cumberland will not be the only one competing for PT at the 2. Whoever plays we'll have to be able to guard. That is always the toughest part for incoming freshman. It's why yhey are often eased into the line up.

I'd personally just throw Cumberland into the deep end. We'll be able to easily overcome any defensive mistakes when we're rolling cupcakes at the beginning of the year. For us to be our best, he needs to be the 2 guard imo. No reason to delay the inevitable.

when ever your in a team environment your always better off when players earn their roles then just having them handed to them. Cumberland will also have other competition for the spot. Mick and staff are still recruiting. I'm sure Cumberland will get plenty of opportunity to show his skills. Like you I hope he is a huge improvement over KJ but he has to earn it.

Definitely agree he'd have to earn it. I just don't see that being an issue.

Who do we think we get with the scholarships that are left? Would you prefer an incoming freshman or a grad transfer? JUCO?

I think snagging another incoming freshman combo guard, and a JUCO/ grad transfer who can play the 3 would be ideal.

i think we will get a big grad transfer and a couple of wings.

I'd say right now our biggest need is another 3. Second, taking a PG transfer would be ideal to have them sit out a year and compete for the starting job their first year here. Have a year to learn and practice against Caupain. Then we can go with best talent available for the last scholarship.

As of right now this is our roster:

PG Troy Caupain
PG Justin Jenifer
SG Kevin Johnson
SG Jarron Cumberland
SF Jacob Evans
PF Gary Clark
PF Quadri Moore
PF Tre Scott
C Kyle Washington
C Nysier Brooks

i want a PG in next years class. We will be able to offer him immediate PT which is a huge inducement . JJ's role will be as a back up to TC next year. Hopefully he will be up to the task

Last time we could put 5 guys on the floor at once who could get shots and score, we had Cronin's best team (2011-12). We should be able to do that next year.

What makes me nervous is that even that team was bad until Mick was forced to open the game up when Gates got suspended. They lost to Presbyterian and Marshall and then got crushed to Xavier...After the brawl he let them play and they started playing better.

Cronin put it on the players much more this year than last...and with Caupain being a SR, I can see that trend continuing.
