Latest Scrimmage

Anyone heard any word from the closed scrimmage on Saturday? How did we look? Any movement on the quarterback front?

Just wondering.

It should be Kiel, but the longer it goes, that is in doubt. I say Kiel because of game experience and talent throwing the ball. If we truly are shifting to a run-first mentality, it could very well not be Kiel. Don't want anyone to transfer out.
 
Wow, Tubbs just announced Moore at the starting QB. Personally, I dislike Moore the most out of the 3. Not sure how you don't go with Gunner but maybe I don't know much. Not like I have a lot of confidence going into the season but this doesn't help.
 
I'm not a fan of playing games with the QB position. If Moore is the guy, fine. If it's Kiehl and Tubs is trying to send him a message, I'm not on board. To me, that would mean Kiehl is not your guy. I'll wait and see. If Moore performs well, it should be his job.
 
I will say, I'm a little shocked that Gunner couldn't win the job this fall. He's got so much more experience than either Hayden or Ross. I actually feel a little bad for him. That's a long way to fall from where he started his college career.

I don't think Tubs is playing games. I think it's Hayden's job unless he doesn't perform.

Don't see a game here. Hayden showed flashes last year. He is more athletic and More importantly durable. Gunner just can not stay on the field. He also is turn over prone for a guy who has his experience.

Moore has plenty of issues with turning the ball over. He stares down the receivers all day and makes poor decisions under pressure. Example, holding on the ball too long, forcing throws, not knowing when to throw it away.

Maybe more experience will change that but I didn't see that in the scrimmage.

my opinion is driven by the amount of improvement I think Moore can achieve. I also like his athletism. I think with Gunner it is about as good as it is going to get. He also can not stay healthy. That isn't all his fault but it is a issue nonetheless. Honestly none of the three impress me all that much. Hope I'm wrong and someone steps up.
