Ok just sat down and completed by ballot for this week. Holy shit, it gets worse and worse each week. The reality is, we only need a top 15 this season because the 15-25 teams don't even deserve to be ranked.

I had to fit Nevada at #25 even though they lost because I had no one who could replace them.

Its a shit show.

  1. Virginia
  2. Villanova
  3. Purdue
  4. Michigan State
  5. Xavier
  6. Cincinnati
  7. Arizona
  8. Duke
  9. Kansas
  10. Auburn
  11. St Marys
  12. Texas Tech
  13. Oklahoma
  14. Gonzaga
  15. Wichita State
  16. Ohio State
  17. Tennessee
  18. Kentucky
  19. Rhode Island
  20. Clemson
  21. West Virginia
  22. UNC
  23. Kansas State
  24. Florida
  25. Nevada

I don't see the AP playing out this way. I know that's not your problem here you are voting as you see it. I would guess the AP to look more like this although I am not sure what they do with KS.

Vill
VA
Purdue
MSU
Duke

That is probably your top 5. Next 3 are tougher and it depends on what they do with KS losing to #12 OK...with OK losing it's next game. I like

Eggs
UC
KS

or

KS
Eggs
UC

We are either 7 or 8 depending on KS.

WOW. Well 3rd time is a charm. We truly should be 22-2 going into SMU.

The bad things is; we could go on a 2 game losing streak if we don't steal one from SMU and then lose to Houston.

Its a tough road trip, But if we sweep. we will be heavily rewarded

Sure, but I think Kansas is still a bit overrated. Like sure they have great wins but they've dropped essentially 3 home games this year. I don't trust teams that do that

I'm not sure I would call it "stealing" when we are favored to win 2 out of 3 times if we played there that often. Especially with Foster out. It's not going to be easy of course...but the expected result is a W.

Of course any team can lose...and we have seen it happen again and again in CBB...so we just have to be ready from here on out. Nothing is really a given anymore.

At 42% does anyone mind if Evans starts popping more 3's? I mean he has range and he's knocked down some clutch 3's. I can deal with higher volume if even if he goes from 42% to 38%. He passes up semi good looks all the time and he makes semi good looks at a pretty high rate. I am not even sure his % would drop because he has passed up pretty decent looks in the past and we sometimes get down to a point late clock he has to heave one up...and he still makes them.

That NBA range (and beyond) dagger he made late in the game on Sat was stone cold (I think 1 second left on the clock). I think he did it twice...although the other one wasn't as far out...there was a defender close by.

Most of our guys rely on being open for their high %. Evans seems to be able to make big shots even if it's a little tougher situation.

Points per 40 minutes this year compared to last...(this is just the 4 starters)

Gary...19.5...15.1
Kyle...18.9...20.9
Evans...18.0...17.1
Cuberland...15.7...17.5

Gary went from 4th to 1st. Kyle went from 1st to 2nd. Evans was 3rd both years. Cumberland went from 2nd to 4th.

Congrats @GoBearcatsMBB's Gary Clark! https://t.co/YU9hTSd9SU

Another average week by Gary Clark.

What I am most happy about is that Gary is starting to develop a little swagger. He is starting to realize just how damn good he is. He has a little smirk on his face now after great plays and in interviews. He is so comfortable out there on the court in almost any situation. He talks to the medial like his is the expert on most situations now rather than just answering questions. He is not as shy as he used to be in pressers and he's not as timid as he used to be in games.

He and Evans are really killing it this year!

Really surprised they didn't drop Kansas past us in the AP. And Duke didn't even move with a loss at home, I would have at least though MSU would pass them. They kept Oklahoma at 12 as well, despite a loss to an unranked team, I guess that's how they justified barely dropping Kansas. Pollsters..

its actually probably more "correct" to not make a lot of moves based off 1 game this far into a season.

but you know if we lost we'd get pounded in the polls.

Who would of figured we didn't move up at all. These rankings are unbelievably biased. Doesn't matter what out guys do, they are not breaking top five. Hopefully this is more motivation for them. What a joke. Can't wait until we win the regular season conference title, conference tournament title and final four run, shove these rankings down there ******* throats.

Right, but I've watched Kansas pla multiple times, and we are a better team than they are. But you're right that's the frustrating part, if we dropped to the 12th team we'd be right out of the top ten lol. Your name carries a lot of weight

I still think we can move up, top 5 is gonna be hard but if we play well in Texas we were certainly be up there somewhere. But you're right, they're very biased. especially the AP.

I haven' really been surprised in weeks at our poll #'s other than they split KS between us and X. We move past the obvious teams every week and that is it. We aren't in a great conference. I am happy with our ranking. We haven't even played 4 of our toughest games yet.

It's all going to work itself out as we play the final month. We can really impress some voters. Right now we are just beating teams we are supposed to...which is an accomplishment IMO since many teams are losing to them...but it's not a poll mover.
