I'm not the biggest into details of recruiting, but I know enough to know Spell isn't some coup. I actually just tried to see if any VT Board mentions him ANYWHERE, can't even find him search function. No site lists an ASU offer.

You got 247 2021 recruiting and only 2 guys associated with us even have stars, and one is 5 star Trevor Keels who we know we won't get. McMillan isn't until 2022, but he's top of my list for whoever our coach is.

I want people who give me a reason to believe we can be a top 50 team. Any of them.

Who are those guys this year? That’s what I’m asking. Right now, we need 6-7 guys. They all aren’t going to be stars. We’d be lucky to get 1-2 game changers at this point.

I’d love toney from Pitt.
Battle from gw.
Fletcher from uk. Those would be great in my opinion. I’m not sure they are realistic though. If we got 1 of them I’d love it
 
Justin Williams dropped his article on the athletic.

Seems some of the guys flat out hated brannen. didn't agree with playing time and usage, and hated some of brannens rules like no jewelry, hats, do-rags etc at team meetings and dinners.


There is the accusation that he pits players against each other behind their back. That is the biggest issue I had with whats in the article. You cannot ever do that. That needs to be addressed by the administration.

For many of the roster spots you need guys like this out of HS. Then you come in and grab your transfer after the commit. Now you have your long term plan and short term plan in place. You can’t do it the other way around. The HS kid may not commit if the transfer is in place first. Think Mikey and DD or Rap and Eason. You give yourself time to bring the frosh along with transfers

If Brannen stays he needs to make changes obviously. It’s a different time this ain’t old school

For those who don't pay for it, a breakdown as complete as your willing to give would be appreciated.

The pitting players against each other would make sense in line with the text to the recruit. Which seemed to be pitting a future recruit against Harvey.

I can't really add more. I want Brannen gone, this article won't change my mind or make me want him more gone.

To me it seems like a little of this. I’ve yet to hear anything groundbreaking. I’m not giving brannen a pass either. You have to realize there is a problem and adjust but I’ve yet to hear anything that is jaw dropping. Seems like a little of both. Brannen kind of neglected them and they took it wrong.
 
If you aren’t changing you are getting passed by. Have to adapt to the times or...

The player in question had no intention of transferring until he found John was telling people he was likely to transfer as a way to try and keep other players around.

That's the kind of manipulative, dishonest garbage these guys have been dealing with.

Not seeing a bombshell but maybe many instances of insensitivity or hypocrisy. Maybe a lot of land mines but no big bomb

I don't think there needs to be a bomb. Sounds like it was a bunch of little things that kept piling up.

But maybe there needs to be a bomb to fire him with cause.
