Still pretty cool being in the top 25 we have a real shot getting in the top 10 before conference play if we win some HUGE games coming up.

*good opportunities there. Not to forgot @VCU who is just 5-3 but still pretty solid IMO, had 3 very very close hard fought loses to duke, wisconsin, and florida st
***We hold a good win on a neutral court against #29 GW who also is ranked 19th in todays RPI. and a loss to #18 Butler

UC still ranked at #23 after falling to Xavier @ Cintas.

Was expecting them to drop out but Im guessing that so many other teams lost and no one really pushed them out.

We need to clean sweep this coming week. Beat @VCU will help a ton.

also ESPN published its BPI polls for the first time this season and UC is ranked #22

They got back an 8th guy BUT then they just announced that Naz Mitrou-Long who was getting 12ppg, is done for the season and has requested a Medical redshirt. Deonte Burton will make his debut against Northern Iowa, he was a transfer from Marquette.
 
This team is as high as they're going in the polls this year. They will soon disappear from the Top 25 as they don't belong there. Am I the only person who believes the program isn't going to get any better till there is a new coach ? Cronin doesn't know how to recruit shooters. Routinely, the opponents use a zone to cover UC and it works because they can't shoot. Let them launch three pointers all game long.
I think Mick needs to go and find a coach without ties to the program who can manage the game and knows how to recruit. It is very difficult to watch this team play and it takes the same pattern almost every game. THE DEFINITION OF STUPIDITY IS DOING THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AND EXPECTING TO GET DIFFERENT RESULTS. Dear AD, certainly UC can do better than this for a coach. And, while you're at it, let's find a new Football coach too. Tommy is not the answer.

That's actually the definition of insanity...which is kind of ironic when you think about it
 
Still ranked came in at #22.... I understand they are on probation but I don't understand how is smu is only ranked #17, I mean they are 11-0 with some decent wins. they embarrassed Michigan beat a solid Colorado squad they should be a lot higher imo

No, it's because college basketball as a whole is really down. Why this team was ranked this week is beyond me. 20 years ago you wouldn't see a team with two home losses still in the polls.
