Who you guys rooting for on this matchup of UConn at SMU?

I'm kinda rooting for UConn bc it would give us some breathing room in the conference standings with a top team.

SMU is the only legitimate contender to us for the regular season title.

Go UConn!

But wouldn't it be cool to see another AAC team ranked? A team we beat? UConn's resume will never be good. I go back and forth on this one.

SMU could still get ranked even with a loss. I would rather have some breathing room for the conference title. We need to take the regular season or tourney to gain some extra respect for seeding. SMU beating UConn to get ranked I'm not sure will give us the same amount of push as a title. Not sure

Its a tough one lol. I can't decide either...

I defiantly want smu to win. Really want them to be ranked when we go to moody. Uconn has a bad resume and nothing can really fix that now. If smu losses they will kinda fall off the national radar for a while leaving the aac with uc and then average teams. Imo smu winning is very important for the league and UC's seeding because we need big wins to get a high seed

I agree with you. I just don't want to be Co-Champions with them which could very well happen if SMU keeps winning. Not sure we beat them at Moody.

SMU looking unbeatable on their home court. Connecticut is being handled - still early, but I don't see Connecticut coming back in this game - 26-15 with 4:18 left in half

Memphis won @ Houston in OT last night. That kind of sucks since @ Houston is supposed to be a quality win for us, and we only play Memphis once this year.

After the win over UConn, SMU moved up to just two spots behind UC in KenPom (UC 21, SMU 23).

Houston blew that game. Rob Gray threw up a dumb shot with 5 seconds on the shot clock, under a 30 seconds to play in regulation up by 1. He airballed that shot, Memphis threw an outlet pass for a breakaway layup leading to an And 1.

Goodnews is Houston went above Houston in the standings by a slight margin. We need Houston to finish high than Memphis if we happen to tie with SMU.
