Not sure if this is good or bad for us. Essentially our entire tie-breaker (assuming UC and SMU are 17-1) is going to come down to who finishes higher in the standings: UCF or Memphis. With the loss Memphis is now 8-6 and UCF is 7-7. UCF finishes with @ECU, @Temple, Cincinnati, and @USF while Memphis has a much tougher road with @Cincinnati, Tulane, Houston and @SMU.

Then again if UConn gets the 4 seed, I'd rather not have them be on our side of the bracket.

We really just need to hope Houston hits a ton of 3's and beats SMU.

It would turn Houston into a top 50 win in RPI and at least put them on the bubble.

I don't get how Houston isn't on the bubble but Clemson, GTech and Pitt are. For some reason you're allowed to lose as many games as you want if you're in the ACC. It's really weird how in football and basketball every year, the collective "we" annoint a conference as the best and just assume it is correct no matter how the season actually plays out.

Georgia Tech has some really good wins: @VCU, Notre Dame, Florida State and North Carolina. Those are keeping them around. Clemson is barely hanging on (Next Four Out in Bracket Matrix along with Houston). Pittsburgh is a ways away.

Ok thanks. I haven't looked at all that stuff very much. I just remember hearing that 3-10 ACC teams were right in the mix and I couldn't believe it.

I agree with that statement so much. I hate pre season ranking for that very reason. The rest of the season is based off of them. All the teams start off ranked even in Kenpom (I know it had to do with last seasons stats, but that's even worse for teams who've drastically changed.) but it all bases off what they originally thought no matter what. You see a 6-4 sec team knock off a top 5 team and instead of dropping the top 5 team they just move the 6-4 team up. It's all biased.

Haha Chuck had no idea that UConn came back to beat Memphis the other night. Thank God Dan knows all, or else there'd be a LOT of mistakes on the broadcast lol.

Houston up 19-9 early on SMU. They are making every shot they missed against us. Also having Davis is a huge plus. Kid is very versatile.

Really?

I hate the way he looks and he looks very puncheble but he is a fearless driver in the lane and scores on all levels.

Yeah you may be right. I just saw his stats. I feel like we do a good job on him. But that may not be a proper measuring stick.

Once again the AAC officials stealing the show. They are horrible. At least in the NCAA tourney we get away from these crappy officials.
