I don't see it anywhere in here, but it might be. Chris Mack, as most expected is headed to louisville with a 7 year deal

Going forward, as long as UC is in the AAC it will be tough to take control of the rivalry, maybe win 1 out of 2 or 2 out of 3, but streaks where UC wins 5-6 in a row will be tough to replicate.

Yeah perhaps. Our coach has coached in 500 D1 games though. If they hire Steele, I believe he has 0 head coaching experience in D1. That advantage should be worth every bit as much as the conference difference. At least enough to keep it even (we win at home).

I would think that they would look at Porter Moser, Brannen at NKU and Kelsey from Winthrop and try to keep Steele, although he may go with Mack and get more pay.

Xavier should be able to recruit as good as or better in the BE than UC in the AAC no matter who heads the program.

What were they saying?

How it says a lot about who he is as a person and his character. How he's bailing on his alma mater, how he should have to stay for some of the extension he just signed, etc. I mean I "loved" it to an extent. Any negative comments towards Xavier makes me happy but he's gotta do what he feels is best I guess. Who wouldn't turn down a few extra million a year?

Steele is supposedly the offensive master mind behind Xavier’s System success.

I think loses out big time by losing mike pegusus (whatever his name is). He has been down right elite at developing Xavier big men. They recruit garbage big men projects and then in 2 years, their footwork around the basket is near perfect.
Kinda guy I’d love on uc’s Staff.

Anyone want to speculate why Mick, former associate head coach at Louisville, is not even mentioned for Louisville opening?

If I had to guess I’d say because he is part of the Pitino coaching tree and Louisville wants to be 500 miles from that.

Chris Mack out here offering anyone that has either 4 or 5 stars. Casting a wide net and hoping to catch a few. I mean it makes sense but it’s just joke watching what Cincinnati’s staff has to do to find talent and compare that to these blue bloods that’s just can show up whenever and offer

See in this is what makes me think we lack in our assistants. I think our assistant coaches are good, but maybe too similar to cronin. We need an offensive minded guy there who can help Mick on the other side of the ball. I really don't think you are gonna find a single coach who is at good at one side of the ball as mick is l, to fill in at Cincinnati. Whether it be offense or defense, I just don't see it happening. And that's why IMO Mick just needs someone on the bench to help where he lacks, instead of just constantly reassuring him.

Mack had 0 head coaching experience in D1 before X. He did pretty well against Mick.

this is why the "who are we gonna get if mick goes" argument is dumb. there are a ton of good coaches that are out there that no one has heard of. have to find them. mack before xavier, stevens before butler, even huggins before cincy.
