Thrilling finish in the Horizon semis, with NKU winning on a three in the final seconds. Jarron's brother Jaevin had 27 points, 7 of 14 from three. He's made 105 threes this season at a 40% clip, averaging 17ppg. I wonder if he'd be interested in playing with Jarron as a grad transfer.

Cousin

Thanks. I saw he went to Wilmington and just assumed they were brothers.

I didn’t even realize he had a cousin or brother playing haha, til you said something. Wouldn’t probably be a bad grad transfer guy though. Come home and play for the hometown team for a season, knock a few 3s down

Memphis and Wichita St are in the NIT. Some experimental changes will be in place, including NBA bonus rules (5th foul per quarter), NBA lane dimensions, international 3pt line, and 20 second shot clock.

woah. that seems crazy. soft press a team and they have less than 10 seconds to get into their offense?
It is crazy, and after looking into it more it's not really accurate. The shot clock will be reset to 20 after an offensive rebound. I was reading a short summary that left out that important detail.

that makes sense and i like that. the nba resets theirs to 14 after offensive rebounds right?

Memphis and Wichita St both won their first round NIT games, with Memphis beating San Diego at home and Wichita St winning at Furman.

South Florida won its first round CBI game against Stony Brook. They erased an 18 pt halftime deficit to win in OT. David Collins had 31 pts.

Georgia States Ron Hunter has agreed ti be the new coach for Tulane. Sounds like a pretty good get for them, wouldn’t mind another team making a step forward in the conference

I think that's great news. Can't expect much better than Hunter at Tulane.

Yeah not at all lol. But the Big Easy, maybe he can gets some kids in there and turn the program around a little bit. At the very least I don’t expect them to be a bottom feeder anymore

I really can't understand why Mike Dunleavy didn't work out better at Tulane. I read he wanted to model the program after successful private programs like Villanova and XU. IMO he really has some coaching smarts and should have attracted some players who wanted some training from a guy who knows the NBA game. Maybe he just didn't have a personality that clicked with high school kids for recruiting.

Hunter is a good hire. He's super positive and seems to get his kids to play winning ball. But if they couldn't attract talent with Dunleavy there must be some other barriers that I'm not clued into.

- bad facilities
- kids think it's too hot in NOL
- they don't get support because of the NBA

South Florida beat Utah Valley to move on the the CBI semifinals. They'll host Loyola Marymount on Thursday. If they win that they'll take part in a 3 game championship series.

He go get all the top south players. Go be hard for mick to beat him in recruiting in hottest area in country.

Wichita St won at Indiana and moves on to the semifinals at Madison Square. That's three straight road wins.
