if I'm Mick I am certainly willing to listen. P5, good tradition, nice part of the country, great basketball conference. Why not listen??

WTF

You don't listen because he loves it here and gets paid well already. He's a Bearcat. You don't waste your time. He did that last year with UNLV.

He was supposedly in fairly deep last time around when they hired Gottfried (after our first NCAA appearance). Hopefully he listens.

I'll tolerate your whining about Mick if you can answer this-Who could we realistically get to replace him that would be successful and stay? Hugs stayed with us even after his success, but college athletics have changed substantially since then. Almost all coaches at non-traditional powers have their eyes set on moving up the food chain-Shaka Smart, Sean Miller, etc. The only exceptions are guys like Chris Mack and Mick Cronin who have ties to the area where they coach. If you can name one coach we could get who would be successful and would for sure stay, I'll be satisfied.

You are wasting your time. I'm probably one of the few posting here who remember the gap between Jucker and Huggins. have know interest in going through that again.

Don't want him to leave but being in the ACC has it's benefits

Idk if it's that galmorous unless there is a huge pay increase. Cronin has been waiting for the new arena, so why leave right before he gets to re-open it? Plus, just look around that league. Gottfried just failed, Stallings is having a tough time at Pitt, Pastner is trying to build at GT (that ceiling is only so high). Cronin would have a few years of implementing what he wants just to catch up with those schools, plus he'd be behind schools like VA Tech, Wake Forest, and even Clemson right off the bat. And that's before even mentioning the Virginia, Louisville, Duke, and UNC's of the world. Not sure he'd be willing to jump into that mess with what he has built over time at UC.

Anyway, I don't think it will be Archie Miller. I think he could be considered for OSU or even Indiana when Tom Crean is inevitably fired.

But that said, things are going to get very interesting soon. 2 High profile jobs will open soon (Indiana and OSU) and then a good ACC job in NC State is open.

You'd have to wonder if Josh Pastner's short term success at Georgia Tech might propel him into a position like NC State..

I mean recruiting at Georgia Tech has to be tough.. You Jerseys are made by Riddell or something.
