Easy there... still have UConn and maybe Memphis to deal with. SMU will be a different team with Kennedy too.

I've been saying that we'd win the conference long before tonight...UConn is the only competition bc they have Brimah. He's the only player in the entire conference that scares me at all.

SDSU beat Cal State Bakersfield 51-27. Cal State Bakersfield shot 1-20 from 3. Also committed 20 turnovers and shot 5 free throws. That is a hell of a defensive effort. I don't care who you're playing.

SMU lost again. We're gonna run the AAC.

I will caution the same thing about other teams I said about ours. By the time league play comes around teams will look different. Teams come around at different times. Let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. There's a lot of talent in this league.

I was thinking the same thing. I haven't seen them play this year but just looking at the score they sound like a UC team. When we play them the score will be like 43-38 lol.

I agree. Not to mention that is a tough 2 game stretch. Going all the way to Gonzaga and then playing at IU in a few days. Also, once they get Kennedy they will be very tough again.

Yep.

It's only a few games in...besides, UC hasn't managed to score well enough for me to think they would run away with the league.

Did anyone see Cal last night? They killed Syracuse from the 3.

Typically teams with many returning players look great early and the teams with a lot of newcomers and talent catch up late December/ early January.

I hope that's the case Jeff, I still have somewhat of a good feeling about this group of guys. I think they have it, just need to put it all together and get a few heads straight.

Cobb for 6th man of the year! Start the campaign now. Even though Kenyucky has 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th... I'll still take Cobb

Everyone needs to relax and enjoy the journey. It's a process as Jeff mentioned and too many people want to fast forward to the end and expect to see those results now. Let's just enjoy watching the team get better and see what happens.

Totally agree Jason, well said. It's going to be a fun journey I believe.

Put Ellis, Clark, Thomas, Mormon and Cobb out there and tell them to go all out, run, press, trap, fast break. That would be fun to watch.

Then come back with Da Bear, Moore, Sanders, KJ and Caupain.

lol

UConn leads Dayton 17-12 in the first half from Puerto Rico. Huskies have not been impressive in either of their first two games...Dayton should be a good test.

Thanks for sharing. Sadly, I'm done setting goals for Shaq. Mick had some interesting comments (I know someone mentioned it but I hadn't actually heard the clip). I just wonder how many more games we can leave him in an important role if things don't change drastically. He is far from effective and I just don't know what could make him change at this point.

I have nothing to base this off of, but in my opinion Shaq bounces back and we'll laugh at his start around the end of the season. He'll have his Shaq moments, but he is capable of so much more. It will click at some point this year I'm calling. Might be way wrong on this but we'll see
