Every team has a leader. How is that an insult to the other awesome players on this team? 2 games in a row against quality opponents troy made the plays down the stretch. Ellis made his presence felt as well which is why he got mvp. Mick tweeted today caupain is a #PTPer. Stop denying that. Every guy on this team brings something different, they will make their mark on different games throughout the year. Kj was blasted in the 1st half of the game thread and came up big, same for ellis.

Ellis was picked preseason 1st team all AAC. Caupain was 2nd team. Ellis is a senior. Caupain is a Junior. Ellis was MVP of this tourney. So naturally, this is Troy's team! Makes sense to me.

Mick mentioned in the post game interview that it wouldn't surprise him if Octavious had given Troy the trophy in the locker room.

If I was the coach, I would have probably praised my guy who won the award rather than suggesting that another guy deserved it. The fact that Troy threw the ball to Ellis rather than holding it and getting fouled was criticized by the announcers. If this is Troy's team, where was his head on that play? Octavius stepped up and bailed Troy out by hitting his free throws. If he misses the front end and GW hits a buzzer beater, would this still be Troy's team? My guess is yes, because everyone would be blaming Octavius and giving Troy a pass.

LT is a troll, always has been and always will be. He finds a topic each season to troll with and he never lets it go. No matter how wrong he gets or how stupid his comments look, he'll never stop.
Engaging with intellectually disingenuous people is a waste of your time and all the actual really good posters on this site's time. There's a lot of valuable discussion that is on here, which is why I keep coming back, but guys like him really are a drain on the site. It's sad too, because he's not completely clueless about basketball, and is capable of making salient points (e.g all assists aren't equal) but in the process his agendas will always derail any actual discussion. He's a complete troll in every sense, which is sad, and realistically I almost feel bad for him. Almost.

As far as pace goes though, we're still #9 for shortest length of offensive possessions at 14.1 seconds.

Defensive possessions take forever though at 18.6 seconds 334 (of 351 teams). IMO this is almost definitely the result of teams making a conscious effort to slow pace AND not being able to find good looks early in the shot clock.

Watch two minutes of practice and it is abundantly clear that Troy is the leader of this team. Maybe I'll let the other 12 guys know they are wrong for valuing his voice this week. I'm sure they'll understand as long as I let them know some old, grumpy dude with an agenda on a message board said it was so...

Aren't in our class?
What is the point in bumping this? It's not rocket science. If you really we're so confident that you knew better than the market, GO GET DEM FREE MONIEZ HOMIE!

Congrats you made a forum post with nothing at risk, and no one would ever even remember it if it's wrong and you're also never quoting or bumping your incorrect predictions. But let's all bow down to the master sooth sayer who knew better than the market but didn't exploit his knowledge.

I got all the money this weekend, easy money!!!!!!
Just nice to bring some of you back down earth because you're way off on this offense crap, pg crap we are a scrap it out grind it out team and always will be that's who we are....
It's been about 10 different things this past week I've put on here and been right but nobody wants to listen trust me I know will bit more than most of you

We would have lost one of those two games last year. We didn't shoot particularly well and made a few bone head plays but made it happen when it counted most. We can win when playing below average and that is encouraging.

You do realize our average offensive possession is 5.5 seconds faster than last year? That's a massive change.

I also really doubt you bet a single cent on the game because I'm sure we'd get a screenshot of your winning ticket if you had.

I had a few nasty quips about Evans, but as soon as I'd post them, he'd do something amazing on the opposite end or make up for it, so I'd erase it. He makes mistakes for sure, but he takes it to heart and a few seconds later does something great. Makes it hard to stay mad, so I have to chalk it up as learning experience.
Yup, agreed. Gotta say though, I can't wait to watch him over the next couple years. Looks like a legit talent.
