I think those minutes are probably fairly close if the game is tight. However, I think there will come a time when you will see Rubles in at the end instead of JJ.
Why do you say that? Because rubles is more polished offensively? i would think Jj can impact the game more defensively although he can be turnover prone at times

I think that the main reason TRub would be in late in the game over JJ is b/c of his ball handling/FT shooting.

BTW, I was thinking about this in the Bellarmine game. The really great thing about our backcourt experience will definitely be noticed in close games down the stretch. We finally have 3 guys that we can count on to protect ball/get fouled/make FT's. It has been a long time since that has happened.

Good points. I forgot about ft shooting.

You are correct

Free-throw shooting has never been a strength for the 'Cats under Cronin and Huggins. Hopefully these guys can make them when they count. PS David N. shot 70% from the charity stripe in NAIA- that is really impressive for a big guy, especially a 7'1 big guy!

You know, it is an interesting question, Rubles or Jackson.
Rubles has an outside shot, can handle the ball, pass and make good decisions. Jackson has unreal athleticism, can block and make the occasional very pretty play on offense. At some point though, Jackson needs to be consistent. My other thing is, Rubles is a better rebounder than Jackson was at the end of last year. I haven't seen Jackson play yet though, maybe the TN Martin game will give a better idea of where he is.

Plus Rubles can drive to the hole and pass REALLY well. He could be scary good this year and possibly the best player on our team by the end of our season!

Don't know if I'd go that far with it but it is nice to have a PF with some skills.

The great thing is that we are talking about putting two solid players in the game. Either way there is not much drop off, they excel in different areas. I am a big JJ fan and really look for him to make a big improvement this year. Also love what Rubles brings.
