Your homerism makes feel like I have to defend Xavier. But I won't. IF you think Xavier is just lucky and not very good, then I don't know what to tell you.

Either way, I'm done talking about them. They are good. We are good. And I'd like our chances if we played them on a neutral.

When I watched sportscenter this morning, they highlighted the Xavier-Butler game and I don't even think they mentioned us playing. In fact, we've been a top 10 team for a few weeks and it feels like none of our games get any play on Sportscenter anymore. This conference sucks and the opponents suck.

When Xavier barely beats Georgetown and St Johns, it creates a narrative of "the big east is really tough". When we beat UCF by nearly 40 points, it creates a narrative that the "AAC really sucks". US destroying our league is both positive for us but very bad for the overall perception of this league.

So what happens when we beat Temple by a shot? The conference looks better? Or do the top teams looks worse?

I don’t think Xavier barely beating bad teams helps them at all. Most people I listen to or read have questions because if this. But if they win, it’s hard to say much.

I do think Xavier is a very good team, but like was already said, luck and skill are mutually exclusive. Getting a four point play with 20 seconds left is pretty lucky when you're down by four. Blueitt is a clutch shooter, but he is very slow and deliberate with all of his moves. He got off on us the one time, but he was just on fire. The thing is, they don't play a lot of defense, and when that's the case he can score at will. But they let lesser teams score right with them, like Duke and UNC.. despite them beating us, right now I think we are playing better.

Whoa. Slow and deliberate ?

Do you watch the way he comes off screens, creates the tiniest space and immediately fires a 3?

The dude maybe the best shooter off a screen I’ve ever seen and his release is lightning quick. He doesn’t even set his feet half the time

It's hard for me to think we should be 2 seed even with these upsets until we get through these next 3 games. If we go 3-0, then yes, I think we deserve to be, but right now we are 2-2 against tournament teams. Wins against Houston and Buffalo losses against X and Florida. If we beat WSU and Houston for a second time I can agree. I'll admit, it is starting to bother me seeing all these teams night in and night out having chances to make an upset or a big win and we are over here playing Central Florida and UCONN. I can't wait to get the party started this Sunday.

Yah...I'm okay with a 3 seed for the moment. The next 3 games are going to shape our seed in a big way. 3-0 there is no doubt we move to a 2 seed. 2-1 and I think we stay in 3 seed range.

Interesting BracketMatrix right now we are in a 3 way exact tie for the first 3 seed with MSU and TTech. I don't think it's been updated today

Who's more deserving exactly?

if we go 3-0 in the next 3, I think we are guaranteed at least a 3 seed. After these 3, the only games we could lose are @WSU and the AAC championship game.

If we go 3-0 I think we can lock in a 2 seed. Provided we only have 1 loss or less after that point. If we win out...there will be serious consideration for a 1 seed...especially if we make the tourney finals. If we totally win out (win our tourney)...I can't help but think we are a 1 seed. I would not have said that a couple weeks ago.

I have no clue and maybe we are and I'll gladly take it, but I just am saying these next 3 games are the real deal. I looked at the tournament as it is now and we are 2-2 against projected tournament teams so it's hard to justify being a 2 seed IMO. Not trying to put us down, but the schedule is what it is. I'm excited for these next 3 games. I would love to add another Houston win to our resume and WSU (our only ranked team)

We have done our job in the total win column. We are a little short on quality. The next 3 games will put us into a conversation that bracket voters won't be able to deny. Our highest quality RPI win is still Buffalo I think. There is no voter that is going to be impressed by that. Sad but true. We gotta win 2 out of the next 3 games to elevate our impression to voters.

I think our consistency of winning games we should is impressive...but when the rubber meets the road...we need to have some quality wins if we are going to impress ALL voters. That problem has never changed. Quantity can only do so much for us...we gotta perform in quality games.

Everybody has negatives. No one discusses how terrible some of the resumes are around us, just highlight ours and why we aren't deserving.

That is why I focuse on our results. I do appreciate the info others put up to try and explain the reasoning behind the process. The older I get the simpler I prefer things.

The floor is all yours.

Kansas has 3 home loses, two of them to the projected 51st and 107th ranked teams in the RPI. Best wins against 24, and 40.

Duke has losses to 103 BC, 86 St. John's, 78 NC State.

Clemson, lost to Temple who we best twice, and to 78 NC State

Michigan St. 21st in the RPI right now. Have one top 50 win.

Texas tech, has a loss to the 117 RPI.

So yeah, everyone had their issues with their schedules, wins, losses. Something. We certainly deserve a 2 seed if you ask me. Yeah we are 2-2 against tourney teams. But we have 0 losses outside that. Teams in front of us are dropping games at home, sometimes 2-3. Losing to teams outside the top 100. There is definitely a pretty strong case for us.
