No but there is a two seed difference in brand name and I don't care what they say, it's been shown to matter over and over again.

So you are crediting Bobinski for predicting Lehigh would beat Duke in round 2?

I think Bobinski handled the Crosstown Throwdown the wrong way. Both he and his gutless coach did nothing to discipline the instigators of the whole thing, Tu-for-thirteen Holloway and Mark Lyons.

Agree 1,000% I also like how Mack staggered the suspensions to first and second halves. They handled that the same way they handle everything else there, sweep it under the rug and hope nobody remembers.

Get ready because they traded Tu/Lyons for Mrs. Doubtfire (Stainbrook) He got kicked off of his team and is sitting out this year.

BTW, I heard from a reliable X source that Mack wasn't in arena for post game presser

I heard from a reliable source that Mack doesn't coach and had no control of the locker room. Wonder why they are NIT-bound and one of their reserves on scholly is an NKU transfer (Stenger). He can have as many 5-star guys as he wants, but it won't help him get out of the way of himself. Weren't they just recruiting a guy who went to 7 different high schools? Shouldn't that raise a red flag? I saw a tweet after that Shootout from the usually horrible Doug Gottlieb, who said that, in the closing seconds of a game with his team up by a lot while he was still playing, Chris Mack inbounded the ball off of an opponents face. Gottlieb said that Mack's teams were a reflection of him.

Sorry, now to get back on topic. Realistically, I see this team as a 5 seed. I think things will turn around for us and we will improve, but this is not a final four or elite 8 team. We could get incredibly hot and shock me, but I doubt it. I am hoping for another sweet 16, that will help us keep our momentum going into next year.

5 games left, hopefully at least 2 wins. I think that it all comes down to the Big East tourney. If we win a game or two we will move up, otherwise we tread water and end up a 6/7/8 seed

Tommy G said that we have had a 4 - 1 record the past 2 years in our final 5 games. Hopefully that holds true for this year. I am hoping for 6 seed and another sweet 16 appearance. Anything less, and this season has been a disappointment.

I would say if anyone is going to base our last 5 games off of the previous two seasons could be in for a huge disappointment. Totally different players, teams, and circumstances. IMO these last
5 games can go either way, for better or for worse.

I think we will struggle these last five games. We need to win at least one of the next four and beat South Florida. If that happens we will be fine. At the end of the day none of these upcoming losses nor the Georgetown loss will be considered a bad loss. We don't need a one and done in the BEast tourney if we go 2-3 to close out the year, but our resume as a whole will still be solid. We are fans and we hate watching this team lose. We all become pissy and frustrated. There are plenty of teams with worse resumes than us and plenty of teams struggling through conference play. My personal feeling is that we go 2-3. Without knowing the matchup in the tourney it will be tough to say if we will win a game there. It's easy to say yeah we should win one, but we could be facing a very good team that will need a win as bad as us. I think 6 is attainable but 7 or 8 is more likely in this scenario. A strong finish still could put us in the 3-5 range. To get a 3 we'd have to finish strong and reach the finals again.

So, as of 3-1, both ESPN and CBS have us at 9 seed playing in the West at SLC with Gonzaga the #1 seed should we get by Game 1. I think we need to play our absolute best games from now until then, or we may be the best/worst dressed at the NIT.

As of today, CBS bracketology expert has UC as a 10 seed (on the bubble) vs. VCU first round with Miami our second opponent in Lexington. Lunardi has us in the West as a 9 seed - SLC. funny how these guys are so disparate.

While I'd gladly except any seed, VCU is a nightmare matchup for this team. They'd score enough points off the press/fast break to lessen the overall impact of our great halfcourt defense. If I had to pick I'd much rather play a team that struggles to score, like Butler or Memphis.

Lunadi is remarkably accurate. I'd lean his way.
