Great game yesterday. Aside from the melt down in the last 8 minutes, where it was the most awful display of basketball I've seen in awhile, UC showed hustle.
Best game by Bishop and Gates in a long time.
Cash is finally 'getting' it.....he's taking it to the rim, as are several others.

I agree about Bishop and Gates. Bishop seems to be stepping up at the right time. Cash seems more comfortable when moving at a faster pace and driving more often. Lets hope they keep this momentum and keep fighting. If they do, this might be the most exciting end of February and March in a long time...
Go Bearcats!

A year ago the Bearcats lose a game like this. They showed a lot of mental toughness in dominating ot after blowing the lead. That's progress and now they know they can win in those situations and that means something. They are 21-0 when leading at half and that says something as well.

But to lumberjacks point it is a bad habit and it will bite them at some point. They have to eliminate that habit. Teams will make runs. You have to stop the bleeding and close a game out up by 16.

Still 21-6 and 8-6 and fighting for one bye in the BEast tournament. Gotta like that.

I thought the exact same thing. Last year's team loses this game and the St. John's game. Winning close games you are supposed to win is progress for this program. Lets get a few more wins and I will be taking a day or two off work to watch the Cats in the NCAA tourney. Think I will take the day off even if they play late at night. It has been too long and I will have to get my Bobby Knight game face on and get ready for the game.
But, lets win a couple more first. If the Cats from the U of L game or the Cats from the Prov overtime show up, they beat Gtown.

I was very pleased with the composure they seemed to play with in OT. Especially after blowing a lead and losing momentum. Still need at least one more win to assure .500 and 2 in my opinion would seal a bid. We did look much better on the offensive end yesterday. It helps when you play a team that doesn't really play defense, but take advantage of anything you can. They did and they got the W.

Been a away since Wednesday night on a trip to Vegas, sat and got to watch the game Saturday in our room. Saw some of the first half of the Louisville game. Very impressed with what I saw. Sure the 7 minute streak of the providence game was ugly, but they impressed me with the way they fought in OT. They could have come out flat and given that game away, but they didn't and that tells me something about this team.

I like what I'm seeing out of Cash, and Yancy made me eat some crow myself, he has stepped up the last couple of games, I hope he continues to play with the desire he seems to be playing with now. For that matter that the whole team is playing with. I was very impressed seeing him for most of the game, minus the 7 minute streak, finding a body to box out on the defensive end and crashing the boards on the offensive end. He even hustled down the court to make some plays.

Someone also mentioned Justin Jackson, the kids motor is incredible and as soon as he gets some more muscle weight and plays a bit more under control the kid is going to be a beast. He wants to put on some mass and is a hard worker, the sky is the limit for him. I can't wait to see how he does.

I'm cautiously optimistic about these last 4 games, go 2-2 and we are in.

Now let's go Cats!!!
