Beat them twice last year. Can we get a much needed win? We have to have it. I said pryor to this 3 game strech 2 wins would put us on the good side of the bubble and 1 would keep us in the conversation. We need this win. Can we get it?

We have been playing better although the L's dont reflect that always.

I say UC finally gets over the hump. 68-61

Yes, I do realize I never learn.:(

The team needs it. The fans really need it. Mick could use the win most of all.

There was a sign at the game that was held up in full view that wasn't very complimentary of Mick, and was confiscated. I'm sure he saw it, or at least heard about it. I'm pulling for Mick, but it just appears he doesn't have the full attention of the players. If that is truly the case, get it quickly.

Those signs are stupid. The first 2 years are hard to even count against him. We will see. Your right though we need to win this. Mick, the players and the fans all need this win.

I agree. I don't giving honest critiques, but to throw your coach under the bus at a game...classless.

Sign was classic. Sorry but your being paid (and paid ALOT) to win games. Wins have not happened, fans should be able to voice there opinion...

I dont see us winning this game, which is becoming a common trend.

My opinion is that you need to take a grammar class. ;)

It's "their," not "there."

While your at it, drag GreatOne with you too. :D

Was the sign on TV? I didnt see it but was at the game.

I don't think anyone feels sorry for Mick. He is getting a lot of money to bring this program back. I feel he has done a good job.

Having said that, we need to win some games here. Mick has the team playing well recently. Agree?

What is classic about trying to embarress your coach on ESPN. The same ESPN that a lot of recruits watch.

Not classic at all. In fact, it was stupid and does nothing but hurt our image further.

I have said it all along, win games = happy people... But im afraid if changes are not made OUR, ARE, R (whichever it is) attendance rates will decrease again next year. People want mick out, plain and simple. More importantly, old rich people want mick out. This program is on the borderline of becoming a complete disaster, pending next years success or lack there of.

The issue IMO is not feeling sorry for Mick. It's exposing potential fans, recruits, and a television audience to our "dirty laundry." Nobody that saw that sign thought good things about our fans or our team. If I were a recruit for instance (even a football one), I believe I would pick a school in which the fan base supported the teams in a more positive way.

It's not about what the fans are entitled to...it's about what the smart thing to do is. Belittling our basketball coach in front of the world is not smart.

Its VERY smart, if you want changes to be made. Mike Thomas is sweating bullets this morning after hearing about that sign.

I disagree that the attendance will drop a lot next year. I also am going to call bullshit on most of the old rich people want Mick out.

I think a couple of clowns on BCN who talk a big game say they want him out. I am sure there are some people who will say they want him gone but if there was a huge outcry for it they will do it.

Ask the Average Fan. They have been calling for micks head unrealistically for over a year. I think we can agree on that.

However the "true" fans are starting to turn. Ucats are turning, members on BCN might be an over exaggeration, but at the beginning of the year that board was nothing like it is now, majority where optimistic and looking for an NCAA team.

Mike Thomas probably is "sweating bullets" as you so eloquently put it, but he's still going to stay the course, because he didn't get to where he is by being a reactionary hack that listens to angry message board members and classless idiots with a Sharpie and some poster board.

While he's worried about the alienation of the fan base by said idiots, it will have little impact on whether he changes his mind about Mick being the guy. Mike understands that the connection between the fan base and Huggins is still very strong, and as a result most of the criticism of Mick is not based on whether he's the best guy for the job now...it's based on whether he is as good as Huggins. It's an irrelevant question, because neither Huggins nor any other coach with his experience is coming here, if only for lack of money to bring them.

I have been hearing that the person who brought the sign was boo'd heavily and many fans try to get the sign and they eventually got security to take it away.

I am happy to have heard this but I am not surprised. Even the Mick bashers know this is low class and doesn't help us at all.

LL did you bring it?

I did hear the person was given the business the rest of the game.

Here is my observation about BCN:

There are some people there that are always negative posters. They've ALWAYS been that way since Mick's hiring. They do not even give credit to the coach/team when they do win big games. They have an inherent bias.

These same people do not show up after wins. They show up after losses and start countless threads lamenting the team, Mick and "excuse makers."

These people attack others and post much more frequently than those defending Mick because that is the nature of those that hate Mick and want him out. Those calling for someone's head are far more vocal than those supporting a cause (i.e. war protesters, abortion protesters, etc. are far more vocal than those for wars or for abortions, etc.).

Pay attention to those actually posting very negative comments and those expressing some uncertainty. You'll find that there are a select few that live to provoke and create controversy on BCN. It's a huge turnoff for that site.

There it is. A negative cause is always louder than a positive one.

The problem is if they actually make a good point because no one wants to listen to their BS.
