Would really love to see Shaq be the one that comes out and explodes for about 15 really think this kid has the ability, SK does his normal stuff and JJ plays smart no early fouls, I really think UC can get this double digits.

UC-79
X-67

64 -50 Cats, I get nervous when we are supposed to win these games. Contain semaj and box out stainbrook.

I think this game plays out similar to the N.C. State game. Close in the 1st half, wear 'em out in the 2nd half.

Cincinnati 69
Xavier 59

Just like last years game, low scoring...not a lot of perimeter shooting. Overall pretty boring game.

Cincinnati 61
Xavier 52

Im in line with a lot of others. Think both teams play with too much energy in the first half and it stays close. Cats wear them down in the second half.

UC- 65

XU- 55

I am expecting us to bounce back with some focus after a week off. The energy/effort will be there obviously. We have to figure out a way to limit Christon without getting JJ and TR in foul trouble since he will be driving to the hole. If we do this we could win by 10-15...if we don't it could be a close game. I will go somewhere in between.

UC 63...Eggs 56

I went to look at what some of the X fans were saying on boards (because I have never done that) just to see what was going on. It's interesting to note that they really hate Cronin (afraid to play at Cintas and likes to buy wins against no name teams) but when it comes to predictions they seem a SLIGHTLY more realistic. I did not feel it best to post comments.

We have 9 of 9 predicting a UC win on this thread. They had 4 of 8...with one of those just posting a link to a site that predicted an Eggs win. A couple of them had the game in the 70's and 80's for the Eggs win. I would be surprised to see this game reach the 70's for any team. I would think 60's for the winner and 50's for the loser would be more likely.

It was also interesting to hear that some of them won't make the trip to US Bank out of "principle" and would rather see the game cancelled if it doesn't revert to home and away campus play. If it were me...I would offer the neutral site...if they don't like it...nice knowing ya.

This is going to be the game of the year and the best game of all time in the rivalry, Double overtime SK banks a 3 with .8 left to go up by 3 and then Miles Davis launches a 68 footer for the win at the buzzer.

2OT XU 82 CIN 81

UC gets ahead early, Xavier catches up to make the score look closer than the game actually was. UC wins 70-65.

I am not sure this UC team is ready for primetime. I worry about scoring.

Shaq Thomas could be huge in this game if he plays aggressive. X has nobody who can match up with him.

X could hurt the Bearcats inside and Jackson/Rubles better play better than in the New Mexico game. I think as upset as Rubles was after that game that he will be ready to play.

This is going to be a tough hard fought game and I think someone other than the two best players on the floor will decide. That could be Stainbrook or Myles for X or Caupain/Thomas for UC but whichever team has the second and third guys come to play will win.

Right now I give a shakey nod to UC because of the three seniors. But in this game nothing is certain.

I predict a comfortable win. Sk and jj in their last game are going to play huge. But then I expect some of our freshman to play big parts in the win. I think kevin johnson, home town kid, is going to play great especially in the press and possible add 8 to 10 pts. Caupain is going to play good as well, under control, and smart. It's possible lawrence could have a big game cause the athletism mismatch will be there if philmore or stienbrook are guarding him, but jj and Titus should be able to capitalize on that. Our press will work, and we got the depth to do it for 40 minutes.

I hope we continue to shoot well at the FT line. That could be a huge stat by its all said and done.

I just checked stub hub for fun and there are only 17 tickets available. Last week there were close to a 1000. Hopefully its a good sign and the crowd it bigger than expected.
