ALL THESE NEGATIVE ABOUT SANDERS AND THE TEAM IS DAMN HORRIBLE SANDERS HELPED THIS TEAM ALOT ON DEFENSE AND ON OFFENSE SANDERS IS A PLAYERS THAT NEEDS PLAY CALLED FOR HIM AND TO ME WHEN PLAYS ARE CALLED HE IS AT HIS BEST. IS IT HIS FAULT CRONIN CALLS NO OFFENSIVE PLAYS AND WE ARE NOT A OFFENSIVE TEAM THAT DOES HAVE SHOOTERS CAPABLE OF MAKING SHOTS. PLEASE BLAME SOMEONE ELSE WE LOST THIS GAMES FOR MANY OF REASONS AND SANDERS, NOT GYN IS ONE OF THEM.

Dude, your caps lock is stuck.

Mick does need to take more accountability when we lose. This game wasn't the refs fault, it isn't because we didn't play defense, etc., it's because we weren't prepared and still have no offense. Part of that is talent. Mick has done a lot with little talent, but the offense struggles are so painful. We need to bring someone in to help with the offense, it is just unbearable at times. Again, he is just the coach and he isn't the one on the court. He did a lot with this team, but I just wish our offense would have progressed, not regressed. We just peaked at the wrong time...,

Either I'm having DeJaVu or Jumpin Jack you were saying this exact thing last year at this time.

He was conference coach of the year. His peers think he's a pretty good coach and you said you watch games for a championship? UC won one this year. And if it's for national titles, you would of stopped watching in the 60's.

Stan Heath was also coach of the year recently. This just is what it is...don't sugar coat it. Can't seem to get over the hump in big games.

Actually for 4 years, as we are one of 16 programs that have made the tourney 4 years in a row. This is a good program and Mick is a good coach. I can see why people are upset. One must remember, however, that we have lost pretty much our whole 2011 recruiting class. Ellis, gone, JD3, gone, Guyn, bad, Sanders, serviceable, Shaq, hasn't figured it out yet, Mbodj, gone after last year. This incoming class is looking good, so lets see how they do before we have the fire Mick group come stomping in again. If this whole class is a flop, then I will start to see your point.

Good season. Didn't want it to end so soon but it happens. Team played hard, represented the School with class and will graduate seniors. Proud of Coach and players. Looking forward to next year. Enjoyed conversing with everyone but it's almost baseball season and I love going to the ballpark.

The only questions I think are on mick was the PT at PG all year and I wonder why Shaq played so little.

The rest of the stuff is just who we were. I'm sure in 2011 Mick wanted to recruit better players, but they didn't want to come here. Everybody can see the uptick in talent of recruits starting this year. I think anything outside of those 2 questions in the first paragraph is silly. This team is exactly who they've been all year. We knew it would be a close game. If we could finish some layups it would have been a different outcome.

Overall good season though.

Mick isn't going anywhere and anyone screaming that he is or should is not a knowledgeable basketball fan. He is a good Coach who had a very good season that ended badly. He will be back count on it.

Don't confuse people with facts.

The captain's do not have a high basketball IQ! I love JJ but he just don't do smart things out there. We need a person who can get past somebody off the dribble!!!!!!

You did by bringing up the coach of the year. I'm not even arguing. I'm just saying its incredibly disappointing, and I don't care what most of you are saying now because I'm pretty sure I can find post where most of you were anticipating a deep run in the tourney...now its all "overachieving" bs. I mean we are talking about a loss to harvard, if this was during the season it would be our worst loss. It just is what it is...

This is what I have been trying to get at. We lost to Harvard and it just flat out sucks. Why do people think we overachieved? That is the part I don't get.

Any team can make a run. As Billy Beane said in Moneyball, the playoffs are a crapshoot. This is a very disappointing loss and it is a game we should have won, I don't think anyone is disagreeing with you there. When you look at the bigger picture, though, we are still fine. The sky isn't falling. Jeff isn't saying this team is perfect or that Mick is always right, but he thinks (and I agree) that he is the best coach for this program. It's one game, anything can happen. The offense is a reoccurring problem that I hope we fix by bringing in an offensive-minded assistant, but you can't say we didn't have a good season.

I personally said a sweet 16 was probably peaking their potential, but IF they could get hot for a few games with their D they could make a run. Based on what they accomplished and what was projected they overachieved.

I don't think Mick is perfect nor am I happy with the loss. I'm pissed! But that said the season overall was a success.

Harvard did beat New Mexico last year in the tourney! Harvard is not a bad team! UC players just didn't play smart ball.
