I'd take Brohm from Western Kentucky for sure. I don't think you have to go straight offense to be a successful G5 program though. San Diego State, BYU, Boise State, Houston, Western Michigan are all elite G5 without running straight spread. Those teams pretty much have good running games (good overall offense too but not the light speed kind). A team like South Florida has also found success with a dual-threat QB. The game is always changing, I don't want a gimmick offense bc that's tough to maintain if you are running through coaches (Oregon).
For me, it takes a guy who shows up everyday and is passionate about improvement. As long as the guy we get has big goals and lives and breathes football, I'm not as concerned with the scheme.
