I think a 7 is certainly still possible. You'd have to win the league tourney though. That's 25 wins and single digit losses. A 6 seems unlikely, but outside shot. I agree with UCalum though, it seems like if we win 1-2 games this week (most likely), we'd be an 8 or 9.

Don't rule out a 10 seed with a loss to UConn. Certainly wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, seeding wise.

I'm hoping for a Top 8 seed. I don't like the idea of not being in the top half of the field.

None of the teams currently predicted to be seeded 7-10 scare me. LSU, Georgia, Wichita State, Dayton, Oregon, NC State, Texas, Colorado State - wouldn't mind to play a single one of them.

Still think if we win the AAC tourney and beat Smu in the finals we could get a 6

Agreed--think 6 is the ceiling. We seem to be in the 8 seed range right now, so adding two more top 50 wins and possibly increasing our RPI to the mid-20s could present that opportunity to jump to at least a 7, with a chance at a 6. Think there's a chance at a 7 even in just reaching the finals, assuming that it includes another top 50 win over Tulsa. That's all assuming Tulsa stays in the top 50--a win over Tulane/Houston + a loss to us would most likely put them right on the border. Them beating Tulane instead of Houston could give them a little more breathing room in terms of staying on the right side of 50. Wouldn't think a loss to UConn would cause a drop to anywhere below a 10 seed.

I'd be just fine with this. Really want to give them a beating when it matters most.

God no. We've seen this enough. UC plays subpar, and Xavier plays their best game of the year. Happens every time. I'd rather play a team that doens't suddenly obtain super powers when facing us (i.e. Dee freaking Davis going 5/5 beyond the arc).

What chaos it would be if we played Xavier in the first round

I'm pretty sure that can't happen since we played them during regular season. I know the pairings are done through the computer now, but I think that is one of the prohibitions that is built into the program. Can't have rematches early on in the tournament.

They have us playing Dayton first round in Louisville. I could see this happening. Tough 1st round game but winnable for sure.

Anybody considering making the trip to our 1st round game? Thinking if it's in Columbus or Louisville I'll be there. What's the next closest possible destination? No Lexington this year, right?

What is everyone's predictions today, I'm really hoping for a 8/9 matchup in Pittsburgh with nova in the second round but have a feeling we will be matched up with Kentucky in Louisville. Would not mind a 10 seed ether.

What I want: 10/11 seed in either Pitt or Louisville. If we are 8/9 I want to the potential match up to play Nova.

What I think will happen: 9 seed playing OSU in Louisville with the Monstars, UK looming.

Anyone think we end up in the first round 11/11 matchup in Dayton? I'd take it. Winnable game to get momentum with a 6 then 3 seed after. Tennessee made some noise with this seed last year and nearly made the Elite 8.
