Not to get off-topic, but does anyone know what our OOC for next year looks like, or where I could find it?

So far we have confirmed games @VCU, @Xavier and a tournament at the Barclays in Brooklyn that includes Nebraska, Tennessee and George Washington. I do not believe the Michigan series will start next year and the San Diego State was supposedly just a one-off to make up for a football game they backed out of a few years ago.

to semi-begin this discussion - we can 'start' to think about you we could play the first 2 games. I haven't given the first matchup too much thought, but we need to avoid UK to make the sweet 16. I wouldn't mind playing Nova as a 1-2 seed though...

Can someone shed light on why all RPI's aren't treated equal?

IE, we are 35 in ESPN's and 33 in CBS's. I thought RPI was a singular formula? What gives in the variance?

I don't think all the sites have the exact formula the ncaa uses.

Anyone else think the committee will screw us and give us a 8/9 seed? I wouldn't mind being an 11 seed.

Yes. Especially with Kentucky getting the 1 seed in Louisville and a ton of local teams being in the 8/9 mix: Ohio State, Xavier, Cincinnati, Indiana and Dayton. I wouldn't be shocked if two of those 5 were in the 8/9 game with Kentucky as the 1 seed.

So if we lose Sunday, we drop into the 40s. Exactly where no bubble team wants to be. Great... Looks like another must win.

Updated bracket Matrix has The Cats as the last 9 seed. http://bracketmatrix.com/

The Bubble Watch on ESPN still has the Cats as "Work Left to Do" versus "Should Be In" or "Locks". http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/bubblewatch

I enjoy the Bubble Watch articles. Eamonn Brennan is typically pretty good. Even know he doesn't project the Cats as in the tourney yet, the scenario to keep them out would be 2 straight losses (Memphis & AAC first game) plus teams behind surging past them. It seems the Cats are in good shape.

I am worried about how seriously the committee takes the AAC they better take into account one of our teams won the national championship

I think the issue of SMU being left our last year was more about their weak out of conference schedule - if I'm remember that right. I would think the AAC is respected but is not strong enough to overcome a poor out of conference schedule or more than a few bad losses. The Big East used to to that for the Cats. Mick was able to adjust to that reality (as was SMU) with better scheduling this year.
