Cronin Keeps Finding Diamonds in the Rough

When you can finish in 4th or 5th place in a mid-major league and still make the tournament, no it doesn't say that at all.

Making the tournament isn't all that hard, especially if none of your players are good enough to leave early for the NBA and you're not having to rebuild every single year. What it does say is once you make the tournament, you rarely win....and we rarely win.

By the way, our diamonds looked more like costume jewelry last night and in the 2nd hall of the RI game, which is starting to give me a sick feeling about March once again.

i think u under appreciate how hard it is to make the tournament every single year. ask uconn, ohio state, pitt, hell even ky missed a couple years ago, florida i mean the list goes on and on alot of which are programs that are considered top 10. were in the very uper echelon of teams who make it every year and i think people take that for granted now.

Coaching legend Mick Cronin has done it 6 straight times. Can it really be that hard? I mean...if it were that hard, he would have power 5 elite teams knocking our doors down to steal him away. Instead, he creates his own phoney dog and pony show to threaten to leave for the juggernaut Mountain West Conference until he has an epiphany and decides that the promised land is really in the AAC in Clifton, Ohio.

I mean, i hear what your trying to say but bottom line is you have to give credit where credit is due. There are plenty of teams in better conferences that dont make the tournament like UC has. I'm 100% aware that there are snubs and selections can often be subjective, but the fact that Cincy has consistently made the tournament speaks to how those outside of our fan base view the program..which is quite favorably.
