Xavier is all thugs - assuming you mean players and I dont see how they are all thugs. You cant say all. Some sure, not all.

Xavier players hit UC players 3 out of the last 4 years and this year UC players hit back. Sadly, it was Yancy who fought back and when yancy fights it usually ends bad.

2 years ago: Tu takes swing at Thomas and connects with elbow
Last year: Tu slaps Guyn; Wells shoves Guyn

Sooner or later a UC player was going to snap. Yancy was tired of dealing with it. Take into consideration the frustrating lost last year and someone had to do something.

Why should UC continue to play against a team that is clearly unable to play a clean game. How many chances do we need to give them? 3 problems in 4 years is enough for me.

Agreed. The tension has been building from Xavier's players' actions for years now.

I'd play them next year, beat their brains out since it will be played at UC and Xavier just lost 4 key players. Then cancel the series, while leaving the door open to restart it down the road. Explaining that it needs a cool down period.

Then I'd freak the heck out of everyone associated with Xavier by immediately announcing a 4-year series with Indiana.

I'd enjoy that thoroughly.

To compare to Mick I believe we have had 2 transfers.

That is in 6 years. You have to wonder what is going on over there. This also suggests Mick doesnt like to force people out and we could be in that situation soon if Ennis and Obepka pick us.

Xavier is in danger of losing another assistant coach apparently. That would make 3 in one year.

Rasheen Davis left a week ago.
Kareem Richardson is rumored to be going to Louisville

The transfers and assistant coaches leaving are getting a little weird.

You don't think that would be seen as weak? It comes off as if we will only play X on a down year .
 
Xavier's time in the spotlight is over. The rats are fleeing the ship. Mack has destroyed the program. After uc dominates those thugs next year, they will end the series. X would be a major drag on our rpi for years to come. Their program is officially dead

Even for someone like me who doesn't give a crap about the crosstown school your schtick is getting very tiresome.

Uh......no.

The game is already scheduled. Last seasons game was at the Cintas, so next seasons game obviously is at Fifth Third Arena.

I'm sure Xavier was licking their chops when Zimpher fired Huggins and ruined 2 recruiting classes for UC, depleting the team of talent and making them less competitive. Did you ever hear Xavier say, "we beat UC, but I feel sorry for them because of what Zimpher did." Heck no.........they did their chest thumping and didn't care that UC was down.

Well, turnabout is fair play.

I was at that game. A UC fan gave me tickets because Xavier's team was really good and he expected UC to get blown out.

I believe Warren held Burrell 0-10 shooting from the field, to the point Burrell shoved Warren on the court when the officials weren't looking. Totally frustrated the kid.

I consider that UC victory the most shocking win, even including Xavier beating UC twice when they were #1. Xavier had no business losing that game, but UC pulled it off.
 
The best team I have ever seen at UC was 1999-2000 and we lost to an average X team. The game is fun but it hardly indicates who is actually better for the season. Just that day.
