LOL your right please look at my track record thanks. Recruiting is fickle a normal human being with a brain that somewhat works knows that... Was I right about Bledsoe? No. Was I wrong about some other stuff? Yes. However I have been right on the money with a bunch of information I have supplied BCN and BCL. That's just like my last thread recruits coming soon thread. All of those things I outlined in that thread were true and verified 100% however once Terrell switched his mind up and went with OK St mick changed his philosophy when it came to the 2014 class. Ya know I monitor this board everyday and I post rarely because of things like this. And while your at it why don't u ask ur fellow members of this site about the PMs I got about the 2013 class. Because if you'd like I will give you my login info and you can check my "insider" info when you see I outlined every prospect who would pick UC BEFORE it was released to public. Thanks and have a nice day.

Thanks for your contributions, I appreciate what you have to say. Recruiting is very unpredictable, even those who are in the "know" don't always get it right. I don't have any huge scholarships for anything to go to college, and it is hard even for me to decide. It changes by the day, and I'm sure with all the pressure on these guys that it is an even harder decision. Don't listen to NTS, he doesn't know what he is talking about. He only wants a reaction, I learned it the hard way. If you give him the light of day when it comes to his personal attacks, you are only making it worse on yourself.

Also, can you see us getting a transfer? The last transfer we had was Ibrahima Thomas, and he was dreadfully bad. Mick doesn't seem to keen on transfers, but I would rather take a chance on a talented transfer than another Big Dave roster filler type. I think Mick needs to realize that even though he is trying to erase the bad boy image, it doesn't hurt to take a chance or two on talent (albeit they may have troubled pasts).

First of all Dave was a transfer, so I'm not sure you made a great point referencing him there.

And to call Thomas dreadfully bad is misguided, and that is being nice. He put up a 109 O-Rating his senior season, while rebounding 13% of the available misses on the offensive end (only JJ on this years team is comparable) and 20.6% of available defensive rebounds (JJ leads this years team at 16.9%). He made 58% of his 2's, didn't turn the ball over much and blocked a decent amount of shots as well. He played a big role on the team that got us back to the tournament.

Basically, I have no idea what you are talking about.

And who do you think we will sign, ye almighty basketball god?

I don't pretend like I do know. It is easy to name the recruits that will commit to UC when you say EVERY player is coming to UC. I could go back and name all the times he was wrong but I don't want to make him cry (again). That is all I will say about this topic.

1. Thomas was very good his senior year and was a key reason why Cincinnati made the tournament with his play down the stretch. He was far from "dreadful" (6 points, 5 rebounds, 50% shooting).

2. Dave was a JUCO transfer and was necessary front court depth. Cronin tried to get Ennis but he landed at Villanova.

3. What the hell does that last part even mean? You realize he took a chance on Lance Stephenson, he took a chance on Octavius Ellis, he took a chance on Alvin Mitchell, who do you want him to take exactly?

Dave played NAIA, so even though he may technically be a transfer, he was just taken due to his size. Thomas shot far too many threes and he did finish out his senior year nicely, I will give you that. When he came in, everyone talked about how much of a three point threat he was and that he would stretch the defense, he never really panned out in that regard. He was 3-28 his senior year from beyond the arc, that is very dreadful, almost in Rubles territory. I realize he wasn't a complete bust, but there was a lot of hype around him and his three point shooting.

1) see my other response,

2) He was a filler because we got stuck in a tough situation after missing out on bigger targets.

3) He did that early on out of necessity. Look at him now, it seems like he passed on your boy Michael Dixon (we will never know how involved we really were, but I think they stayed away from him) and it sounds like they are backing off of Graham partially due to character. Now, we are getting bigger targets and we can be more selective. Still, it doesn't mean you can't take a chance every once in a while.

If we don't land Graham, Lyle, or any other guard or wing, I'm hoping we can get lucky and land a transfer who can play immediately. Finishing out the season strong and doing well in the tournament could definitely open some eyes to any potential transfers. A guy like Lasan Kromah from UCONN would be great and wouldn't take a scholarship for the '15 class. Like others have said, we haven't gotten a transfer in a long time, and I feel like we will add one this offseason. With losing the three "winning" seniors like Mick always mentions, I think he'll want to add a veteran who knows what it takes to win. Just a hunch I have.

Obviously replacing SK means replacing a lot of minutes, shots, and scoring. Johnson and Morman could be a nice tandem, but we won't really know what to expect. Shaq and Sanders will be our only options to play the 3.

While inexperienced, we have enough bodies at the 4 and 5 spots IMO. Lawrence, Clark, Moore, DeBerry, and Strickland should be enough (obviously barring injuries or any other issues). I don't see us taking another big unless he's an impact transfer that can contribute right away.

It will also be interesting to see what recruits are back on the market once coaches are fired or leave their school. Always a benefit of having open scholarships for that time of the year.

Just once I would like to see a Devan Downey land in our lap. With next years team that would be the perfect timing. Imagine what this team or next would be with a shooter like Downey or Logan. Then again our defense would suffer a little. I guess it is all give and take. Not many complete players like Mr. Martin.

Hey the one 32 have you heard anything lately about deng deng or Jordan Tribble I know they were possible recruits? And as of now my list for final 2 scollys or last 1 and save the other for next year.

Deng deng
Anas Mahmoud
Torian Graham
Jaquan Lyle
Anthony Allen
Jabari McGee
Legand Robertin
Jordan Tribble

Tribble is a good kid and has a chance to be a good shot blocker/defender with his quick feet. Definitely needs to add strength. I do not see him as a primary target.

Robertin is a guy I wouldn't mind having but it's not going to happen and McGhee I feel the same way about.

Who knows what Lyle is thinking but if UC can sign a 5 star you sign him. It's good to have at least gotten in the door but again, unless some serious ground is made up I think it's a long shot.

If Graham gets a UK offer he's a wildcat. Deng Deng = LSU Tiger.

The Bearcats have a shot at Anthony Allen, and it would balance out the big men across the classes. Question is can you pry him away from the west. Anas Mahmoud = redshirt imo.

Not sure who was crying pretty sure I just posted what was on my mind and defended myself lol. Anyway mick has 4 primary targets and 3 back up plans and that's as far as I will go.

What people fail to realize is most of the work I have done in the last year has been responding to PMs and I'm sure if you ask those who sent me those they would concur I was very accurate. Ex: Rubles, Jordan Sibert transferring, jamaree Strickland, quadri Moore, Gary Clark, Troy capuain, Kevin Johnson and a couple more

Stop defending yourself. You have been wrong...I've been wrong. I'm more careful about what I share and there are cases I flat disagree with you but you have PM'd me very accurate info before too. Don't worry about people's opinions they will be what they will be.

The best and worst part of my job? Asking people that would know about some of the names being thrown around just to make sure and their reply is "Who? Never heard of him." Food for thought...

I appreciate all the fans who closely follow the recruiting and keep us informed of any rumors or updates. I think most of us understand it's kind of like being a weatherman. You base your opinions off what is happening at the moment knowing that it can all change each day or even at the last second when everything seemed to be wrapped up.

Even those who bring up rumors that aren't entirely based in fact give the others a chance to refute them. Personally I would rather the board discuss ALL the rumors and such so the rumors can be flushed out etc.

So thanks for keeping us up to date!

Case in point. In the past I have seen lists like these dwindle down to zero and then 3-5 more guys appear out of nowhere and become our focal point. It's just so fluid and unpredicatable. I don't envy those who cover recruiting but I do appreciate them. I expect some new names (to everyone) to come into the mix before spring signing and we may not get any of the above.

No offense guys but with recruiting being as fluid as it is, sometimes its best not to post anything at all, even if you have some inside knowledge. I appriciate it as much as the next guy, but simply saying "Mick is targeting 4 guys", i mean, that's not helping me out much here. Your line of work opens you up to a great deal of criticism.

His "line of work". LOL

I get what your saying it doesn't help without names but he just doesn't want to name names and people jump him when we don't sign any of the 4. Me on the other hand I will always name names of the players we are recruiting at the moment to help others on here catch up but things always change on a dime in recruiting.
