I know many are probably worried about scoring next year, but I don't think it will be a huge issue. First off, our big man situation will be much better. With 4 guys, even though all of them will be in their first year at UC, they should be able to match JJ's scoring and rebounding. Look for Shaq and Lawrence to be impact players, along with Caupain. Morman is an unknown, but Mick has stated a few times how good he is defensively. KJ and Guyn are the biggest question marks as far as returning players go for me. I think Sanders will continue to be a nice role player next year, which is good because every team needs a few of those. Gary Cark will make an impact from day 1, IMO. Even if he doesn't score right away, he plays hard and looks like an energizer bunny on the court.

Next year we'll have depth, just lots of unproven depth, either with new players or current players that will be asked to play expanded roles. There will be ups and downs but this could be a really fun group to watch come together.

I'm not as worried about scoring as some. We'll get the ball in our hands the same amount of times we always have and someone will be putting up shots. It's not like our offense lights a fire right now as it is. With increased talent should come increased production. If one of the bigs can step up and be a reasonable threat to score it will help the offense out tremendously as it has this year with JJ. I'm just curious as to who steps up to be the leader and who is the go-to guy. Usually that is the same person. As of today, you take away Kilpatrick and JJ and Rubles, I don't know who that guy would be. One way or the other somebody needs to step up.

I'm from oklahoma so I don't know alot about recruiting in that state but I was wondering who gets all the prospects there Ohio st?? And it seems like the city should have a lot of good talent that we should get. Where are those kids going?

Cincinnati doesn't produce a lot of big time basketball talent, and Ohio for that matter.

Idk I disagree, while ogio doesnt produce great talent every year we still have very underrated talent in the state, adrein payne, chane behanon, yancy gates, aaron craft, jared sullinger, william buford, trey burke, semaj christon just name few recent ones, think uc could def get more ohio talent but not arguing with cronins ways, I believe Iin him 110%

So the top talent is choosing Ohio st or going out of state??? Cincinnati doesn't produce any talent that is hard to believe because oklahoma does and we don't have but 2 populated cities.

I think Strickland will be the big surprise of next year

Cincinnati is def not a hot bed for pumping out Division 1 ball players. When we do get them, they want to get out of Cincinnati 9 out of 10 times. Its usually they want to get out of Ohio in general. You can't blame kids wanting to experience new places.

Good point.

The best players in Ohio typically play for the AAU team All Ohio Red. The top prospects on that team almost always end up at Ohio State. Ever since Jamar Butler switched from UC to OSU (tattoo be damned!), I have been weary of those guys...

You also have to remember there isn't a guy on this staff that has connections to Ohio. Savino is connected in NYC/NYJ, Jackson is connected in DC/VA/MD and Davis is connected in all over the southeast.

Hey the one 32 have you heard anything lately about deng deng or Jordan Tribble I know they were possible recruits? And as of now my list for final 2 scollys or last 1 and save the other for next year.

I'll be shocked if UC signs anything other than a shooter/scorer. When coaching changes happen and there are transfer I believe there is a chance they would sign an immediate impact big with college experience, but if they award only one scholly it will be to a true pg or sg/wing that can score. Whether that be a high school player, juco or transfer. They need a creator. That could be a pg that creates for others or a scorer that can create for themselves.

Jeff I have to disagree here. Anthony Allen is a big I would love this team to have coming off the bench next season. Yes we definitely need a scorer or pure shooter in this class but to be honest I don't think your going to find a reliable one at this stage.
