Just saw Tyler Ennis sink a ridiculous shot to win another game for Syracuse - why can't we, just once, get an impact player like that? Dude is flat out incredible....has like a 4:1 assist/to ratio. Just once! (Lance doesn't count...he wasn't that great as a Bearcat)

His "line of work". LOL

Chad you have moments where you can come on here and be ok and really add to things. Then there are times like this. Nothing more annoying than an arrogant prick. As someone who runs a site of their own you should have more respect than to come on here and flame things.

Satterfield and DerMarr were those guys, had they not left early. You can't compare UC to Cuse, unfortunately.

Lance still led a team in scoring at 12.3 ppg (including nearly 17 ppg and 8 rpg during UC's final stretch), as a freshman, that was a banked three away from possibly being the ninth team to get a tourney bid from a conference that he won Rookie of the Year in. Maybe not on the level of Tyler Ennis, but nothing to downplay either--especially the last part of his season when UC was trying to make a late tourney push.

Jeff, think if some amateur wannabe bragged about being able to do your job, except the person really can't. He has the right to feel that way...

Not on here he don't.I'm sick and tired of this juvenile stuff some of you engage in. We're all suppose to be grown men. If people want to act like kids go to BCN. Chad wouldn't put up with it on his site, and him, you or nobody else is bringing it here. There's good people on this site and my obligation is to the people who want to come here and enjoy themselves. Chad's been wrong too and he comes on here for a reason and it's not just to visit.

Amen, Jeff. It's frustrating when I just want to check out some recruiting news, and see threads bumped only to read ten posts about a pissing match and no recruiting info. Not sure why people continuously call out others, and why people continuously pound their chests when they guess right.

If people give predictions all the time, you're bound to get some right. Recruiting really isn't that hard to figure out, especially with updates galore on Twitter (mainly during the summer). Once you find out who the staff is zeroing in on, it's not all that difficult to make predictions and get half right.

Right now, finishing this class is foggy, but that's because there's slim pickings with most of the players committed. I don't think anyone here has any idea who our coaches are truly recruiting for the last scholarships.

The glaring difference was assists/turnovers - Lance turned it over as many times as he had assists - Ennis has a much better supporting cast...that may help for sure

Put me in the group that welcomes peoples supposed inside information. Obviously recruiting changes like crazy and these guys won't be right all the time, but just like speculating about anything else on this board, its fun to think about. I appreciate any information members have to offer. Let members have there own opinions about the recruiting analysts; no need to tear them down. Send them a PM if you're truly hellbent on doing so.

I would think recruiting for next year is a moving target. With 2 schollys left and many recruits already committed it wouldn't surprise me to see us carry them over until next year. Of course all that could change if the right player fell in our lap.

Next year at the 4 and 5 we have:

Lawrence
Clark
DeBerry
Strickland
Moore

PG
Caupain
Guyn

2 and 3

Johnson
Mormon
Sanders
Thomas

It also wouldn't surprise me to see GG and Caupain on the floor at the same time. Unless a Highly skilled guy like a transfer or Juco falls in our lap I think we may be good for next year. The lure for recruits is playing time. Whoever comes here will have to compete for time. If we do land a highly skilled guy I think someone will redshirt. Playing time will be hard to come by.

Of course I could be looking at this all wrong.

Well said.

I am feeling much better about GG over the past couple of weeks. Seems the time on the floor is really helping him and I hope he finishes strong and has a great offense. He still needs to get to the rim and finish and I'd love to see him use the floater he used in high school and his baseline drive more.

I think the 2 will be ok with Mormon and KJ but certainly have no issue with bringing a guy that can shoot or with experience in if it makes us better.

Caupain could play the 2 some next year side by side with GG. The defense on the perimeter with GG, KJ and Mormon will be very strong.

The low post will be deep but untried. The 3 is solid if not spectacular with Shaq, Sanders and Clark who may play some stretch 4 at times.

Collectively we will have big bodies inside. Strickland, Deberry, and Moore are are big and strong. They will block some shots as a group but none will be a JJ but I think with Strickland and Deberry the post scoring will be solid as well.

Lawrence will start at the 4 spot and I think we will see a big leap from him after a year back on the court and a whole year of strength training.

As a group I think it will be a better foul shooting team. The last pieces need to fit and should be targeted for need. This is a deep if young team.

In Mick's weekly fox sports Ohio show he said that very thing about GG - he just needed (and still needs) the court time and his comfort level has really improved.

I'm excited to see Morman next year simply because he was described as the most ready of the freshman to contribute from the defensive end.

Our bigs really have the potential to give teams match-up trouble with a mix of stretch types of guys like JL, Moore, Clark as well as more traditional low-post players like Strickland & DeBerry.

Who takes on the leadership role that SK, JJ, and TR currently hold will be interesting as well. Wouldn't shock me to see a more assertive & vocal TC - just a gut feeling.

Agree Jeff. Especially about Lawrence.

I have only seen flashes of his abilities but one thing I have seen and like is his ball skills. For a guy his size he has very good ball skills. He just needs to figure out how to make them work for him at the college level. Hopefully experience and weight will help him accomplish that.

I was dead wrong about GG. Hope he gains more confidence and if so I think his game will get much better.

If we are able to play a faster uptempo game next year ST will be huge for us. Adding about 20LBS would also help.

Caupain will be a monster next year.

Biggest issue surrounding next years team is finding a defensive replacements for JJ and Rubles. THey cover up a lot of defensive breakdowns for us and they are able to guard multiple positions. I really think this will be harder to replace then SK's offense.

Leadership is what I worry about too. People underestimate the value of that. It is huge to have strong player leadership. GG is a hard worker maybe he'll step up.

Do you know if GG can be a vocal leader? Leadership comes in many different ways and the more the better but you need a vocal leader at the very least.

If not GG....who could that be?
