Furman

The biggest difference is that we are hitting threes and they aren't. Keith has also had more success on the drive than in the previous two games. Tari has looked good, as has Davenport and Keith.

Seems like every time Vogt checks in we run a set play for him, which is a good plan since they have no one near his size.

Defensively we have been good, but it's hard to say how much of that is us. Furman seems to mostly just try to win 1-v-1 battles, which is good for us since we tend to struggle with ball screens. Furman also had a lot of bad turnovers early on.

Overall though, looks pretty good thus far. If we stay hot from three and they stay cold from three this should be a comfortable win.

We have to keep aggressively attacking the rim. Need to get their two bigs back on the bench with a 4th foul.

I think a lot of the things that plagued us last year are still present. And it’s going to mean we see a crap ton of close games.

We aren’t consistent defensively. We have 4 min of good, 4 of bad

You can tell this team is still trying to figure it out. Keith forces too much but he’s the best option we have at the moment. Our young guys are good but not fully ready to take over yet

We're fortunate that Furman is just stone cold from 3 tonight. They missed some good looks while we were in zone.

The 1-3-1 zone with Diarra at the top is nice for one possession to throw teams off. But anything more than then is a problem. We give up wide open corner threes and can't rebound out of it.

Rap should not be playing here. His defense is so bad, that three point shot was bad too. He passes well, but that's about it.

Put Eason at the 5 and Davenport at the 4.

He’s wasn’t good tonight. I still think he has some value. Until we can get complete bigs, which is really hard, we will have to pick up these transfers every year. And most of the time they won’t be complete players.

Overall I thought it was a solid game. Everything you want in an early season game. Everyone except Gabe got good minutes. Faced some adversity, got a win.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen a uc player since Logan put up scoring numbers like Keith. It’s odd. I wouldn’t say he had a good game or is even a great scorer but you look up, and he has 27 and should have easily had 30+. Last year he had another 30 point game.

Keith Williams was today’s hero.

But DJD maybe the best rebounding 6’0 guy I’ve ever seen.

Outrebounded Vogt and Tari combined.

Tari needs more playing time

Couldn't have asked more from Keith tonight.

14-17 from the FT line in the 2nd half as a team.

Proud of the team for not surrendering the lead when Furman got the deficit down to 3 as early as the 11 minute mark and then multiple other teams all the way down to the end.

Eason was good.
Saunders solid.
Thought dou was fine.
Vogt had good energy and effort.

Needs for next year
Big, shooter

You wouldn’t say Keith had a good game? He’s the only sure fire player we have to score. Eason may be our 2nd most valuable very soon

Just wish DD could have just a bit more play making. Keith is running circles around our next best point creator. MAW was again kind of MIA. Harvey could not get anything going. Davenport cannot put the ball on the ground to score. Rap...how the hell did that guy beat us?

Mikey outside one turnover had solid minutes again. Davenport did very well. Eason is very valuable. Vogt....meh. Dou...ehh.
