Good lord, Deonate Burton had 29 and 12 in a losing effort. If Gary's out, we have no one to check him.

Yea and I'm assuming Clark would be the best person to guard him.

I hope Clark plays and I hope if he does, that we can hang with there small ball lineup with our traditional standard lineup. Playing there style would give them the edge but if he can dominate the interior with Kyle and Gary (or tre or nysier) we have a chance.

Jenifer is going to have to log some minutes and be pesky on the defensive end. I don't think Troy will guard monte Morris. I think it will be KJ and Jenifer.

Just going with my head over heart here:

I don't think we will win this game with or without Clark. But, I highly doubt Clark plays so that doesn't help us. This team hasn't showed they can do those little things they keep preaching about to win these types of games. Essentially, they play very similar to last year's issues. Would love to see them grow up in this game though.

Sadly, you may be right. As we roll thru these cupcakes, that sickening feeling is beginning to creep over me that this team is resembling our past disappointing teams. Watching us jack up three after three while the mighty juggernaut Samford ran up 27 unanswered points against us, and watching Lipscomb Iced Tea score 68 points against us and giving us a game for a pretty long time, has given me a dose of reality. We still stink shooting the basketball and the defense is looking questionable. Now Clark is injured again and the roster is 3-4 heads short again....as usual. I'm not abandoning ship yet, because we still have two really good players, unlike past seasons, so perhaps they will take us further than past teams, but there seems to be more storm clouds on the horizon than I was seeing a few weeks ago.

KenPom has this one as a nail-biter.

I'll be very interested to see how the tempos clash. Who takes control?

Really would like to play them with Gary Clark available but am excited to see how Tre Scott fills in for him. So far this year I have been very pleased with our back up bigs in Scott and Brooks.

A huge key as it has been since game 1 is keeping Washington out of foul trouble. Without Gary we will be very short in the paint and playing away from home doesn't help us in that regard.

Guards need to continue to build on the last games performance. Have to knock down some 3's and defend the 3 line on defense. Would also help if we limit second chance points.

I think we are doomed LT. Season is all but over...If you want to sell your tickets to me?

Cronin said Tuesday MRI. Waiting for swelling to go down. After game interview.

So the early reports by one poster that his ankle was blown out only to be followed by a report from the same person that it was just a scare and he would play Thursday were both completely erroneous? There wasn't a lick of accuracy to either report since MRI was waiting? Sheesh!!

I saw that interview on espn 3 after the game. He was upset after a question was asked about garys ankle. He is not a doctor the ankle was still swelling and the MRI was to be taken on Tuesday.

Regardless my sense is he won't be 100%. I still remember him in the tournament trying to play on 1 leg. Not good! We need a healthy Clark for league and Tourney. I don't rush him and I let Scott play. Not a great situation but in the long run it may be the right thing to do. Of course it all depends on the doctors.

Gary's ankle is in surprisingly good shape. He may play Thursday. Swelling is already down.

You guys gotta start giving some form of a source on things like this. Did you see his ankle? Who did? Do you know someone with the team? Literally anything on where you heard it would be nice.
