I don't think we are being taken all that seriously at the moment. I hope this gives our guys a big chip on their shoulders and some bulletin board material. It's time for a big win! Just play your ass off and be mentally focused... that's all I ask.

I agree. We need this game to be looked as a serious team.

They'd be foolish to not take a team that's ahead of them in KenPom seriously. Their fans may not take it seriously, but it really only matters if their players do. I'm sure their coaches have their heads screwed on straight. Should be a great game.

I think you have to play Gary for the next 10 days until after the Butler game. Then if his injury isn't getting better, you can rest him for the rest of the non-conference schedule until New Years.

If his ankle is weak I would sit him and make sure he is healthy for Butler. I don't know how he can guard these guys if not near 100 percent. From an experience standpoint he would be very important. From an efficiency standpoint...I don't see the same type of disadvantage compared to Scott so far this year.

not having Clark will be huge. Especially if Washington picks up 2 early fouls. We'd be looking at a front line of Brooks and Scot on the road against a ranked team. It cuts into our rotation tremendously. It's just not about replacing one for another.

I was at one of my buddies houses last night and the promo came on for our game tonight and his response was "Oh f*ck yeah I can't wait to watch that". I asked "Really?" (He went to KState and has no rooting interest for UC). And he was like Oh yeah that's easily the best game tomorrow. Just thought it was interesting to hear that perspective from so.eone who really has nothing at stake in that game.

He also asked who was in our non-con schedule. I told him the teams we played and that doesn't include that we could've played Duke too and whatever happened with that Michigan game. He thought it was a great non conference schedule and chance for us to be in premiere games. Wasn't bothered with the cupcakes, dismissed it completely and said everyone does that. Again, just one of my friends who is a random College Basketball fan. Interesting to hear his take on UC.

Couldn't disagree more. The non-conference schedule is not very good. Yes, @Iowa State and @Butler are good games (and of course Xavier) but the rest of the schedule is not good at all. I mean for comparison look at Xavier's next 4 games. Keep in mind none of these are tournaments, these are games they scheduled individually: @Baylor, @Colorado, Utah and Wake Forest. That's good scheduling.

I agree that I'm sick of playing so many 200+ RPI games, but holy smokes, this forum loves to compare to Xavier lately. Why focus on what they're doing? I have no clue how their season is going, and don't care one bit.

Curious to see if we keep the pressure up. We know Morris doesn't turn the ball over, but as a team, they take great care of the ball. Wonder if we just skip the pressure defense to prevent them from running too much. Hopefully, we can continue to create turnover's like we have been doing so far this season.

Huge opportunity as the game of the night in college hoops and on ESPN.

Caupain- 1st team AAC and SR Preseason AAC POY...time to see it. I wish he'd pull up from 10-12 more. Seems like he always tries to get all the way in when going to the hoop and shoots difficult shots. If we can loosen up the pack-line with a couple outside shots, hopefully Caupain makes plays off the dribble.

Johnson- Play like last game. Don't force stuff. No need for high level of difficulty. 1-on-1 shots. Keep the ball moving. Catch and shoot, pump fake and drive for a mid-range (only "play" he should be trying to make), or pass.

Evans- Evans is hilarious. He is so money. He's the best player on the floor in pretty much any college game he plays in for the rest of his career. Cronin was talking about his mom being a PG at Grambling and is Evans's biggest critic. I love that. He needs to take care of the ball better. He has 13 ast 11 TO on the year. That ratio should be way better.

Washington- Ball out. Coach acknowledged that 55 wouldn't cut it, so let this man go to work.

Limited Clark/Supporting Cast- Keep the ball moving, secure rebounds...especially defensively. Stay locked in and take your cues from the leaders. Scott needs to scrap and hustle and single-handedly win that part of the game for us if he gets those minutes.

Yeah, they've greatly surpassed us. Temple is a better comparison. Look at the last 4 seasons:

2013-14: Charleston Classic
2014-15: Coaches vs Cancer (played Duke and UNLV)
2015-16: Puerto Rico Tip-off
2016-17: NIT Season Tip-off

Why are they getting these major tournaments but we are stuck in the Global Sports or that one we played at a JUCO in Florida. Sad.

Because they're a school 4 miles away that is shitting on us in pretty much every compareable way.

What will be interesting for me is if Clark can not play how do the subs play. Scott and JJ have shown flashes as has Cumberland. How about Brooks? Washington has been money so far but playing in this game in their house will be a test for everyone. Evans looks the part but to be the man you have to excel in these kind of games. Can't wait for game time.

Then fine, compare us to Temple, Jesus.

I wouldn't expect Brooks to play much. I would hope for Scott and Cumberland to fill the minutes. Maybe a little bit of Jenifer too. Hopefully Clark can go. If Washington gets in trouble I wouldn't expect we put two bigs out there.
