Early in the season, missou transfer Michael Dixon had said Cincinnati was a possible destination for him. Anybody in the "know" have any insight on if that is still true or not. Scholarship situation aside, you add Dixon to next years team, you have elite 8, final 4 possibilities. Anyways, Dixon, Killer, Thomas, Lawrence/Rubles, and Jackson is a top 15 team.

God I hope so, but after a quick internet search I have come up with absolutely nothing. No updates since last November. To be honest there are too many guys on this roster than cannot contribute, and so I would rent this kid for a year in a heartbeat to play point.

Jeff, don't see us landing Dixion but Jaren Sina has just requested to be let out of his commitment from Northwester since coach was fired. I know we were in on him and he is a PG. any interest?

We are over a scholarship now. I'd be surprised to see movement either way, but certainly wouldn't mind Dixon or Sina. Would prefer Dixon but not the baggage. As some of you know, I've always been a Sina fan.

Does anyone know if Dixon is even enrolled in a school somewhere? Plus Cronin has had guys mainly with high character ( save Ellis and maybe Alvin Mitchell), so I'm not sure adding someone like this would be a good idea. Basketball wise Yes, but chemistry wise, maybe questionable.

Haven't seen much of Sina, but I just YouTubed him, man he can shoot. I would be willing to try to make room for him. If Morman doesn't qualify and Gaines goes elsewhere, then we have an opening. That's a lot that has to go right........

Would really love to get a natural PG not a group trying to transition to one. Sina fits that bill.

I don't think that we should be getting our hopes up for Sina. We recruited him, but according to an article in the Chicago Tribune, he was also considering Stanford, Virginia, Pitt, and Butler before he picked NW. No mention of UC. Plus, as has been mentioned, where do we get the available scholly?

It was reported he "may" visit Alabama and Seton Hall. UC could definitely use a true PG but Sina wont be it. This may just be the frustration of this season talking but I would give Big Dave and Gaines their walking papers if we could land Sina or Dixon. Scholarships are so valuable and those two guys gave minimal production. This is big time D1 ball if you cant produce you dont deserve a scholarship.

He had committed to Alabama before changing his mind, so visiting there again makes sense.

i think Gaines is gone. Narnsuk will back up Strickland. I don't see Sina coming but a guy can dream can't he?
Narnsuk needs much work in weight room along with Shaq.

can somebody please justify Gaines leaving
can't see how he sees the floor. Strickland,Jackson and Narsuk will see lions share of PT at 5. Mick stated on his radio show he would really need to commit the effort to get better to help team. Leads me to think he is not happy with is development. He is. Also close to graduating. I think he is gone.

Cronin said Gaines was a project with very good potential when he signed him. If Gaines leaves program because of performance, than Cronin failed to develop a big man. Also I can't put much stock in Strickland when nobody knew who he was. Whats there to believe he will be any good considering our recent history with bigs

so Cronin missed on Gaines. Not the first recruit a coach missed on and won' t be the last.you don't think Gaines deserves a little of the credit for his development do you? Strickland will need to show me as well but Gaines is not the answer and is sitting on a much needed schooly and is close to graduation. Time to move on. He is leaving with a free education that is a good thing.

If Gaines is close to graduating, he can go play immediately somewhere else. Go back to the state of Florida, or go across the river to NKU. And in all honesty, Sanders is not a high major player. He should go to the likes of Manhattan, Iona, something closer to NYC. Thought he would be similar to Bishop, not even close though. Shaq is the answer at the 3. Big Dave can develop. He has way more potential than Gaines. He single handily won us the game at Pitt. Give him another year in the weight room, you may get twenty productive minutes a game out of him.

That's true. If he graduates, he can transfer to a school for a post-graduate degree and play immediately, as long as UC does not offer the same degree. And with weight work, DN could hold his own inside and provide 15-20 serviceable minutes next year. Sanders though could still be a productive player, as his body develops and he gains confidence. This is a big offseason for him, and I think the coaching staff will emphasize this to him.
