i'll take that bet. how much money you got?

this is dipshit kids sticking up for their assistant that they like. it's an emotional decision and extremely standard. same shit with andy kennedy. would be the same with larry davis.

to read anything into that is ridiculous.
He Is blowing smoke. Your are right Madman81. The kids at UNLV want Stacey Augmon. This has nothing to do with Mick. I do agree with his assertion that running a up tempo offense would be a better selling point to the kids then a grind it out slow down style. All that said recruiting to this conference in these facilities Mick lands his share of good players. He isn't getting one and doners but good kids with some upside. With SK making the league and a couple on this team with the potential we can start getting some benefit from that hopefully.

Are we supposed to believe that he's fully committed to UC if he comes back?

No matter what happens it will be explained away. "I never really considered the other option because I am committed to UC basketball" "Did I listen to what they had to say? Sure. But it didn't go any further than that"

I can see it coming if he stays here

And he totally won't do it again.

You probably just gave L-T a heart attack with that fake tweet

L-T is on record many times telling you and everyone else that this is all a big joke. He ain't going anywhere. We've been told for years of all the P5 schools that would sweep in and sign him if he were available....and now he is acting like he's going to the Mountain West. If he signs there, I will have a very good time on this forum with some individuals. But, he isn't going anywhere. Tarzan will come swinging back here on his vine with his famous jungle yell and give us his sad story and tell us how much he loves us and really never wanted to leave. There will be a tear rolling down our cheeks. The problem is, my tear will be red, because blood has been the only thing escaping from my eyeballs watching his offense for 10 years.

Like a few have stated already, either outcome we need to unite as a fanbase behind the program and support them. This does not mean we all have to love the coach or stop being critical, but we have to stop bashing people at every turn because of personal views.

Who cares. I don't expect him or anyone who is employed to not continually try to better themselves. Commitment works both ways. If he can't get the things needed or is being misled on when and how they are provided how committed are they to him. Don't they have the right to terminate their agreement with him? Its a business jake.

Winning basketball is boring? Playing defense is boring?

Mick's brand of basketball is quite boring.......at least to me it is. Believe me I've tried to appreciate it, I don't.

I love a good 1-0 baseball game but when I'm watching basketball I want to see a fluid offense. I'm not necessarily worried about the score as much as I am the quality of the offense being played.

That's all good and fine, but it isn't going to make people trust him. And after this latest disappointing season...good luck winning people back.

Let's organize a parade now...very up tempo parade

groschen just said that cronin says he's headed back to cincinnati today and nothing is happening today. no deal in place.

This was the only one I found that stated he had until midnight.

The Rebel Den ‏@therebelden · 9h9 hours ago

Just talked to someone and they said Cronin has until midnight to sign the deal or UNLV is pulling it off the table.

I am familiar with that...but I haven't seen a sourced report that said a deal had not been reached or accepted

Cronin is very polarizing. This doesn't help that. And I'll say it right now, I'm going to be very annoyed when people desperately welcome him back like he's a hero. This whole thing has gotten out of hand and he couldn've put a stop to it at any time.

Do you people who complain about this offense watch other teams? It's not uncommon. It's all over college hoops. Huggins isn't running s beautiful offense at WVU. Texas A&M isn't and his in the sweet 16. Uconn runs awful stuff. You think Calipari runs great offense? Calipari will have some high scoring games, but he will also grind you.
