Mick Remaining at Cincinnati

How about I throw this out there. This ordeal is over. We have a good nucleus coming back and are in on some nice additional pieces. Let's not waste our time throwing rocks at each other. We had about three days to do that. Mick will be here for probably at least the next 3 years. I like this site and the people posting here. Even those who don't agree with my thoughts. let's get back to basketball and let the rest of the BS go. None of us have all the details and probably never will. What we have is a good team returning. Let's focus on that before we end up with few post worthy of reading and Go the way of Bearcat News. We are all good fans. That includes westsidecat ,UCBearcats and L-T. Let's move forward.

Love your positivity Waite but we've got nothing until October other than to throw rocks at each other...LOL

UNLV AD says on Vegas ESPN radio show Mick verbally agreed to deal to become their next head coach. She also said he hold her only reason he came back to cincinnati was to break news to Ono.

Apparently Mick told her he would call her today to confirm the deal but she never received that call and hasn't talked to him since he left on the plane headed for Cincinnati. She sounds pissed and like a scorned lover lol

Mo made the perfect comparison. Like going to a car lot. Test drive a car, filling out loan paper work and before leaving telling salesman I have a few things to clear up and never returning.

What I find amazing if she thought they had a deal someone would have leaked the story. That never happened.

If they had a deal why would he need to confirm it?????

March 25th 2016 becomes a historical day for Bearcat sports. It's the day we decided to give up the chase for P5 status. We've decided that "Mid-Major" is our true calling and we're going to try to be one of the 20 best Mid-majors every year. We had a chance to make a statement to the Big 12, that we're not a program that is happy with just annual at-large bids, that we're all about seeking championships. We chose the wimpy route and the architect who embodies that process. I'm glad my father is no longer around to see this day. When he chose to become a season ticket buyer 54 years ago, our program was all about championships and continuous improvement. Seeing us make a decision to move away from that philosophy would have killed him, as it is killing me right now. I always take my 6th month hibernation from this forum once Cronin gets us knocked out in early March every year, so I guess I'll start that process very soon. After all, with Cronin at the helm again, there is never enough news to sustain a forum for 12 months anyway. Oh happy day!

Lol. I said I would start the hibernation very soon Waite. I still have plenty more shots in me on my way out the door.

Actually, this is a very freeing day for me. I was under the mistaken impression that we wanted to play with the power brokers of college basketball. Now that we've decided that mid-major is our calling, I think we have the coach for the job. I can finally accept Mick.

we have had our disagreement for sure but I think you truly love the Cats. Like you I started the journey with my Dad. While we'll never agree about Mick's qualifications we both still want the team to win. Hope you and your family have a good Easter.

Oh and when you say shots do you mean 3 fingers or the comment type. Lol

Really think are journey to big 12 membership rest with the Football side of the house. Part of the changing landscape of college athletics.

Oh my god it is scary to me that there are people in this world who internalize college basketball as much as you. In fact, it's a little sick and I think you should seek help.
