There's a podcast called BangTheBook that does a preview for each region. Ralph Michaels from WagerTalk was on the one for the South. He went out of his way to say "I'm gonna backtrack for one second" bc the host skipped the UCLA 2nd round game bc they didn't know who they'd play yet between us, KState, and Wake. He went on to say "And I'm gonna call for Cincinnati to come out of that (Sacramento) region. I'm gonna call Cincinnati to beat that team (KState/Wake), then I'm gonna call for Cincinnati to go on and pull the upset over UCLA and advance. I want to get that on the record now. I do like the Bearcats against the Bruins in that matchup. Total offense against defense, and I'm going to back Cincy."

"And don’t try to score on forward Gary Clark in the low post. The 6-foot-7, 230-pound junior is holding opponents to a 30 percent field goal percentage in the post with a 31.6 percent forced turnover rate. In other words, you are more likely to turn the ball over than you are of making a shot with Clark acting as the primary defender."

that is awesome.

How is that even possible?

I thought this website was pretty cool. It lets you simulate the tournament as many times as you want and has winning percentage for each team.

It also lets you toggle between which rating system you want to use. KenPom, Sagarin and ESPN.

KenPom-62.1% chance of UC beating K-State
Sgarin-66% UC
ESPN-62.1% UC

UCLA
KenPom-50.4% UC
Sagarin-50.2 UCLA
ESPN-50.4 UC

Pretty cool article on Bleacher Report detailing 11 under the radar NBA prospects in the tournament. Jacob Evans is on the list and says right now he's a 3 and D prospect but could sky rocket his resume with a good tourney. 41st ranked prospect as of now.

Our region and path to the final 4 is brutal. However, there isn't quicker way to boost our brand for recruiting than making a run against UCLA, UK, and UNC.

If we beat all three, I think you could say it would be the greatest moment in Cincinnati sports history. It would have to rival the big red machine titles.

It would be the top in the last 25 years. Guarantee you that. I might also cry if that happened but that's beside the point.

I've thought this for awhile. He has all the tools. Has potential. Only thing missing is consistency. If he put together 3-4 good games with everyone watching, I could see him getting a lot of interest

I wouldn't feel safe assuming we'd face all of those teams even if we did make a run.

I don't think Evans is ready at all to be thinking about that. He still has a long way to go. I don't mean that in an insulting way, or to suggest he won't get there. He's a good college player right now, but I'd be surprised if he left school early, even after next year.

I agree. Was saying if he averaged 20-25 a game for 3-4 games in the tourney. I do think he could leave next year if he puts in the work and is aggressive every game. I think he has more potential than sk and better size and better athlete. Don't think he is going to be a hall of famer or anything but could see him being a bench guy in the nba

It would be better.....
Few doubted the BRM could win it, especially the 2nd one...almost no one on this planet believes UC could pull off that kind of streak.
