Kentucky is making the plays we wished UC could make against UCLA. A pretty massive difference between UC and Kentucky in terms of talent. Meanwhile UCLA handled us pretty easily in the second half. Makes me wonder how far we really are from being a top 10 team and if that is even realistic in the foreseeable future.

The difference between good teams and good teams in march is NBA players. We have none.

Watching all of these fast guards makes me want to fast forward to next season. Broome is exactly what we need for tournament time.
With Evans, Cumberland, Williams, jenifer and Broome we should be way better on the break this season

Jeez, was the SEC underrated this year or what? Too bad SC & Fla. have to play each other - they could have had a shot at 3 of final 4 - on the other hand, it guarantees them at least one in final 4

There are about 4-5 teams that have by far the most talent in the country. We or other teams will never have their talent. Doesn't mean you can't be successful. The last couple uconn teams haven't had that much talent. Xavier this year. You need a little luck and a decent draw but you can still win without it

I love how Ole Miss beat Syracuse in the NIT just to add insult to injury.

Sorry. I'm just not bitter and worked up over anything they're doing. The more our fans lose their minds and try to discredit them, the worse we look imo.
Agree with you Jake. I would have liked to have gone farther in the tourney but I'm still very pleased with our season. Anything X does can not take that away. Our record is better, we won the head to head battle, undefeated at home, finished higher in our league and conference tourney. Our season was much better. Nuff said.

Xaviers in the elite eight and possibly further. They had the better season. Plain and simple. It sickens me. We can hang our hats on beating them when talking directly to their fans, but what matters and counts is banners on the wall. 10 years from now our season is nothing more than a good year. If Xavier wins tonight theyll be on par with the 92 final four team. That's still the team uc fans talk about and celebrate. Our team this year is as memorable long term as any other random year the past 20 years. I'm ready for another great year for the Bearcats.

I hate seeing Xavier make it so far. But I've watched every one of their tourney games and I gotta say, Chris Mack is a great X's and O's coach. Especially offensively. They get so many easy looks from the offense that they run. They've got so much movement, they move the ball in and out, off the ball screens for layups...

I pull my hair out watching them bc I have to wonder why we do NONE of that. We get zero easy baskets because of our offensive approach; the onus is entirely on individual players to make plays. You never see X pass the ball around the perimeter for 25 seconds and then have one guy jack up a three as everyone else stands and watches. But that's gotta be 50% of our offensive possessions. X might not be elite personnel wise, but I think they are elite in terms of their offensive philosophy/approach/coaching.

I think I just exceeded my quota of nice things to say about Xavier for the next 10 years. Gross.

I agree. I think our personnel is a lot better than Xavier and at times we all want to pull out hair out watching the offense pass around the and act like they've never seen a zone in their life. There are whole games when this happens. I'll never understand it

They can only play their portion of the bracket and the 1st 2 teams they played, they won by an average of about 20.
Oh I agree, I'm just saying their first two games weren't against properly seeded teams. Their win against Arizona was completely legit and they played a really good game.

Florida state (how they got that 20 point average) lost 5 games by double digits, multiple times against bad teams. They just weren't a good team at all (compared to other 3 seeds) and were so overrated.

But alas, all is right in the world and Xavier still isn't going to make it past the elite 8.

Xavier has played the hardest possible seed each round. Gotta give them credit.

Well they did not run into the cupcakes they so usually do. however they did run into some overrated teams. Maryland at a 6... and we all saw how the ACC faired in the tourney. Fla St. as a 3 was clearly a joke and would have been even if the ACC did do alright. So yes they won a couple games but I also guarantee that had UC played those teams we would have moved into the second weekend as well. I give them a lot of credit for beating a good Arizona team, however once again, Arizona had a very easy schedule outside of conference play and even though they had a nice run to win their conference tourney they were probably a bit overrated. All that being said, they got the job done for 3 games and I would love to see the cats do that. PS. Glad gonzaga taught them a lesson tonight.

C'mon. This is sad. Ok, so what should Florida State have been? A 4? A 5? Who cares? They won by 25 that game. Does that really not count? Arizona is overrated now too? You know how many people had them in their Final 4 and beyond? I never heard anyone say that all season and now I'm supposed to believe it bc our fan base happened to realize it after X beat them? Seriously, this stuff makes our fan base look so pathetic. We play them 1 day per year, and they don't have a football team. Being this obsessed with taking credit away from them makes us look like whiny little brother. It's not a good look at all imo. They had a horrible year, we beat them straight up...and at the end they won a few games. Big deal. We have successes of our own to dwell and build on.

The only people on earth scrutinizing Xavier's run this much are UC fans. It makes us look petty and jealous.

What Chris Mack did to turn around a team that could barely beat Depaul to stop a long losing streak, to what he accomplished a few weeks later, is nothing short of miraculous.
